  1. snap (deep down, we know you really do care)
  2. It will fit in fine since there is already another GT30 turbo on there now. The engine mounts needed to be trimmed a whisker but otherwise it goes on fine. The oil pickup has been modified successfully so only an hour or so wasted. It looks like it will be Monday at the earliest that it will be fitted now.
  3. Hi Dale It has the standard HKS gate for the cast manifold with the divided port feeding it. I am not sure what size it is. Slight hiccup this morning getting the oil pickup sorted on the engine so it might be delayed a bit unless something simple works.
  4. Almost certainly R&R but usually this will be hit with an increase in boost as well. Have you got a boost controller on there? Coils can break down on load as well (due to age and heat) so this is another possibility.
  5. My new GT3076 with T3 0.82 ATP twin scroll housing. Hopefully installed within the next week with some dyno time as soon as reasonably possible.
  6. I used a turbosmart T for several years and never had any issues. I had issues with a Turbotech BUT we were pushing much higher boost than the actuator was rated. I think the bottom line is that as long as you are near the actuators rating most boost controllers are fine. I prefer the Turbotech design (it is better) but if I already had a turbosmart T I would just use that.
  7. ^^ there is always that... ...I still only engage low boost if I hand the car over to someone else.
  8. More ignition advance to stop combustion going out the exhaust. Do you run a cat and if so how is it looking?
  9. ^^ really, I just leave it on high boost and control boost with my right foot.
  10. Pretty much the turbo has something like a single later model GTR CHRA.
  11. How about lard boy in a Merc seat. It will take him 12mths to drop the weight just in time to take Baron von Richthofen's seat.
  12. Spray the stock coils with CRC urethane seal coat Sarge.
  13. No one says they don't work. The issue is that they seem to choke >450hp compressors. If Mick wanted to buy a GT3071 with this type of housing then I would expect it to work quite well. Once you move into the next size up there is a risk that you pay the premium for the sexy compressor and get the performance of something smaller (and cheaper) anyway.
  14. I will be working out your way on Saturday Mick, if I finish early enough I would love to pop in and have a chat and also catch up with Jez.
  15. Yeah, it is cheaper to remove your left kidney than buy some parts. The vibration wouldn't happen to be coming from irregular rolling diameter of front to rear tyres by any chance? Have you checked fluid levels on ATTESA as well?
  16. I just spoke to AJ @ Lincorp 02 8844 4400 (Parra Nissan) to buy some new front driveshaft nuts and bolts. He should be able to find the part number if you have your VIN handy. If you need 4 new front driveshaft nuts and bolts let me know as I bought a bag of 10 or 12.
  17. Profec B hard to beat at the price, I have 2 of them. If you have the right actuator then a bleeder will do the job fine anyway.
  18. Well that doesn't work for me at all.
  19. Casey's missus going to be wearing lingerie when she greets him in the pits?
  20. I was just about to post exactly those words. Damn fine....then OneHD go to a commercial break.
  21. Here read this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/376852-getting-ready-for-dyno-this-week/page__view__findpost__p__6010439
  22. What time did it start last night? OneHD wore me down and I had to go to bed.
  23. I just read that BMW are planning on using 3 turbos on the new M3, including 1x electric turbo.
  24. The cartridge number should give it away anyway. I really don't think anyone has modified the turbine wheel from that CHRA. Either way, call MTQ (Adam??) and talk to them.
