  1. I will be in the Brabham stand on race day at the recommendation of Ivan and Rich. I went for the Brabham 4 Corners package. The pit straight walk was a freebie for booking tickets/accomodation by 31 July throught GP ticketing company.
  2. Headgasket failure but not sure what they found when/if it was stripped down.
  3. Have you blocked off the plumb back hose?
  4. You need to block off the plumb back hose, using something of similar diameter to the plumb back(eg. rubber stopper) and hose clamping it securely in place. You are allowing a source of air after the MAF/AFM which is causing your stalling. It may still stall on slowing to a stop but should run fine and idle ok.
  5. The engine was supplied by the workshop which makes it their problem. The workshop may have warranty with the wrecker or wherever they sourced the engine but that is their issue to resolve.
  6. If everything happened in the order described it sounds like they owe you an old stock engine.
  7. Bugger, I spoke to JP last night and it sounded like there was a bit of fiddling around getting it sorted yesterday. He was copping some shite for his aero work two years ago, now it looks pretty pedestrian compared to some of the wilder efforts out there. He was pretty happy with the relative performance of the batmobarge since it is (was) still running a stock bottom end. Anyway that looks like a pretty good time by Boston.
  8. I have one but I might be lying.
  9. Disco, Justjap have an intercooler that might be similar but would need piping. It measures 280x300x76 http://www.justjap.com/store/home.php?cat=298 I would just suck it up and buy the Blitz or the Cooling Pro Stealth. If you need to trim it isn't the end of the world.
  10. I believe old school BMW F1 cars used some fine ridges on the internal radius of intercooler piping. Whether this somehow enhanced a boundary layer effect or slightly disrupted flow to even velocity around bends.... beats me.
  11. Oil at turn 1.....great Not an ideal place to leave it.
  12. Email/contact George directly. He has 5" bodied cats with factory oriented flanges on the shelf but they may not be on the ebay site. Ask him what might or might not pass emissions.
  13. During the enforced break the engineers have time to shop around the proprietary knowledge from their current team and set up their future with a job at a rival team.
  14. Who is assuming they are junk? It is a discussion on BW turbos and that includes successes, failures and in this case possible failure. Everyone wants to know what happened.
  15. Forget the boost graph and look at how much power it is making with the airflow provided by each turbo.
  16. You do realise you could run the SS1 to the limit of the stock injectors/afm and get pretty much the same result. To me that is the point.
  17. Stock AFM and Z32 AFM are identical in size and bolt holes.
  18. I like the look of these results Stao. Great work. It makes good power without wringing the neck of the turbo on the run that bleeds down to 15psi.
  19. Her current bleach blonde hair looks pretty shit IMO but this does not detract from the quality of the chassis.
  20. To me the G1 is an RB20 suited turbo. I wouldn't bother using one on a 2.5L I would go up one size for the extra headroom as there is little to pick between the power delivery of the SS1.
  21. Harsh call. Geez, I would go there.
  22. It wasn't the team owner it was Helmut Marko Red Bulls motorsport consultant...and fisting partner of our favourite F1 driver...that is what I am talking about.
  23. Thanks Daryl, I will try to get it right next time.
