  1. Pretty sure Johhny is talking about the sidefeeds. Going back a few years they were OEM sidefeeds that were highflowed, since then they have been using a new feedstock presumably JECS own supplier in China??
  2. I called NPC, told them what I wanted, they delivered a few days later in Sydney.
  3. RS4S has a pull type clutch unless my memory is getting bad. I have an NPC high clamp organic plate. Super clutch for a daily driver with 275rwkw.
  4. Do you have an exhaust on the car now? If so, just wait and get it done right the first time.
  5. Umm, wouldn't an R34GT-t exhaust fit? Why not buy the right one or pay to get something custom made?
  6. FWIW this dyno plot looks very similar to my HKS2835ProS on the Stagea 98 ron on the same dyno.
  7. Venom cats are pretty well priced and George is pretty helpful.
  8. Being able to monitor some settings is pretty handy IMO. There is an extra cost for the cable and license and should be accounted for if choosing Nistune to get this functionality. I have used both ecu's and both are good so I have no inherent bias for a street car. You are spot on about people messing things up....but we can only hope we are advising sensible people.
  9. I'll get my bishes onto it...
  10. I would still be Maldonado every day of the week. If someone can throw some Columbian money at me I will start immediately.
  11. Also worth noting that a PFC and a commander allows you to monitor and change settings easily. Nistune requires a license and cable as an extra cost. It is another thing to consider before committing one way or the other.
  12. I would strongly suggest avoiding Nistune with an R33. There are numerous other ECU's that will plug and play such as PoweFC (older tech) through to Adaptronic, Haltech, Link. I would consider carefully what you want from the car as careful selection of parts in the first place will save you thousands. If you want more than 200rwkw then you are into the world of aftermarket turbos and new injectors. Each change will require more tuning so take your time to figure out realistically how you will use the car and how much power is needed to achieve it.
  13. You need to be sure that you have 3" system right thru with no step downs...the cat is always a good place to start looking when you have a restriction.
  14. There is a stickied thread here in forced induction. Here is the link... http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/66556-forced-induction-quick-ref-guide/ try this as a starting point
  15. Can you refresh me on the cat and exhaust you have hanging off the back? A 0.82 GT30 housing is not a restriction at that power level.
  16. It will work perfectly well but throttle recovery is set slightly differently with an auto base image compared to a manual.
  17. I have spare Nissan regs from R33's which I believe are identical.
  18. BOV return looks ok for the record. I doubt given the bend in the intake pipe and the location and angle of BOV return this is causing any issues. A lot of smack being spoken about the tuner with many of you having nfi.
  19. Still got it sitting at work if you need it.
  20. The stock map sensor isn't referenced by the PFC as I said yesterday. Turn 02 feedback off. Like I said yesterday, your fuel economy usually won't change a great deal with a Unigroup tune. A new sensor is cheap enough and can be replaced at your leisure. The PFC handcontroller item BOST (or whatever it is listed as) is for when you are using the Apexi boost controller IIRC.
  21. Awesome low down response followed by significant restriction as rpm increases.
  22. Headgasket lifted slightly in two spots so engine is out on the yellow pig. While out I will take advantage and replace a few hoses and bibs and bobs while on a stand. The good news is that the bores look pristine with minimal carbon build up. Not as pretty as an ethanol run engine but not too bad given the number of kms, number of dyno runs and the abuse by Ms Wolv (just daily driving in Sydney) for all those years. While it is out we will refresh with OEM rings and ACL race bearings. The head is being pressure tested before a complete head service and we can tighten up the valve clearances a whisker to get rid of the slight intermittent tick that has been there since the poncams were installed.
