Current plans for Montreal are to allow drivers to use the moveable rear wing on the back straight and the main straight.

On the weekend there is no question you are right. I would prefer to see it used over a shorter distance to help to overcome the loss of downforce from driving behind another car not to simply give all the cards to the following driver. Loss of downforce on the following car has plagued the sport for a few years whereby a 2sec/lap slower car can sit on the racing line with impunity. They just need enough time to get the nose beside the car in front. If there are multiple DRS zones then it means there is a chance of a multi lap cut and thrust as the car behind gets a chance to fight back within 20-30 sec time before. Yes it is artificial so it will always be controversial but I think there is room to play with application of DRS without making it into a Super Mario Kart game like we saw on the weekend.

It is more a case of tweaking the location of DRS activation rather than throwing the baby out. I would be happy to have 2 shorter DRS locations per lap.

The stagea is a big heavy lard arsed thing (in manual form) off the line. It matters.

Perhaps the Toyota was never a world beater but given the alleged money thrown at F1 it seems like they needed to hire a serious top tier driver or someone on the way up like Kubica to wring the neck of it.

The tuner had to change the values in the Nistune software to get it working (more accurately, switching at correct rpm) again after changing from a PFC. Beats me what the settings were before and after but it didn't seem to switch at 1500rpm but more like 3000rpm using the default settings for a neo. VTC TP cut value was changed from 56 to 38. I am not sure if there was another issue.
