  1. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/358412-z32-300zx-with-vq30-twin-turbo-conversion/ This is a link to the UAS 300zx with its new VQ engine. JP has gone through a lot of development and changes to this car over the years. Lots of aero bits, new guards, diffusers suspension angle changes. The new VQ is much lighter than the old VG and it currently has a pretty neat high rear mounted turbo set up behind the strut towers. Anyway click the link and see what you think.
  2. Just under $800 from Nengun. I would love to see back to back testing of the type A vs type B on a neo. Both have the same 9.15mm lift but the type A has a little less duration 252 vs 260.
  3. You can tune light load around stoichiometric or a whisker leaner and run without the factory O2 sensor without issue. Although there is a case for leaving some light/medium sections of the map a little richer so that you get a little more response in open loop but will be leaned back by the O2 sensor if you have constant throttle in that section of the map. Tune going out of whack is a little odd. If he has written the values and they have been saved correctly then there should be no issues. If the O2 sensor is playing up then the ecu will be having issues jumping between closed and open loop. If the O2 sensor is throwing strange voltages then the closed loop mapping will be all over the place. Something that should be pretty easy to diagnose.
  4. If you want to see whether the factory O2 sensor is still working in closed loop. If you have two cars you can buy just one wideband setup rather than one for each car. If you want to tune the car you won't need to remove the factory O2 sensor.
  5. It doesn't cost much to get an extra bung welded in pre-cat if you want to run a wideband in addition to your stock O2 sensor. I have additional bungs on both cars.
  6. Ok, last time I checked the half way house was still shut....might have been October last year. We used to make a Sunday morning drive up there then home by 11 or so. A buck ten the max speed which means the R1's hammer past you but still a fun drive and pleasant morning. I would have a good look at the actuators/boost control next time you have it near a dyno. There might be a bit more life mid range to be had there. Peak won't change but who cares eh.
  7. The boost is a little lazy to my eye so I reckon there is a chance that a little more pre-load on the actuators might bring it on a little earlier. What boost control are you using? Mmm Putty drive. A shame the half way house burnt down and they frigged around with the speed limits.
  8. Probably not.... the bin job in Korea took care of that. I still hope he fixes up SV a couple more times this year. Meanwhile Ricciardo waits for Buemi to suck enough to give him his first start.
  9. ^^ I didn't know that ECU's blew or sucked air.
  10. Looks at his chin and realises he is so tough he can eat 10-11 Maxibons at a time.
  11. SebVet found a "hack" in his chassis mid season last year. He sooked until he got a new one.
  12. The F1 car irons out a lot of the bends at Bathurst, coming down the mountain didn't look that tough at the speeds JB was running on the day.
  13. Nah, Webber was harder on the tyres. Any strategy was rightly in SV's favour due to track position if any benefit went to him at all. He was farked by the front right tyre change losing him around 3 seconds which probably cost him one place only.
  14. The theory on RBR is that they have a better aero package and weight distribution without KERS although it was speculated that they run a KERS lite which is available off the line for one use only but there was no sign of that today. Captn Chin showed high tyre wear, no grip and a big gap to his team mate that just wasn't apparent from the earlier races of the 2010 season with the exception of the last race last year. Hard to understand why the setup was so far away unless there is a problem with the car.
  15. front right wheel again...an issue at RBR.
  16. Petrov is going fine but Mr Handsome would be running with SV and LH at this point if he was out there.
  17. Nice move by Barrichello. Showing the rookies how to NOT stuff it up the inside.
  18. I am looking forward to turn 1.
  19. I'm with Bob, a set of Bilsteins with extra machined circlip grooves allows you a wide range of height adjustment and replaces the older/worn factory shocks.
  20. Why not spray the stock coils with CRC polyurethane seal coat spray. $20-25 and should rule in/out the coil packs.
  21. 9 million square km vs 7.7 million square km. Yeah yours is bigger than ours. You do have nearly twice as many people. A shame you don't have more tuners willing to stretch themselves.
  22. thanks for the link (only have SD box at work)
  23. I still don't get it. Anything is possible but why?
  24. Am I missing something? Why not start with a GTS-t?
