  1. That makes a whole lot more sense to me now.
  2. I couldn't agree more. Ms Wolv generally gets around 14L/100km with a >260rwkw car driving in Sydney traffic. She doesn't drive it that hard but likes to give it a squirt off the line to irritate Falcodores with stripes on the side. On the highway we got it down to 11.5L/100km with Bells Line of Rd - Bathurst pussyfooting around. I have no idea how to get the fuel usage down to 10L/100km without driving like Miss Daisy and even then it looks unlikely. I think KiwiRS4T has called it spot on. This would be your best option to trim some fuel and keep the enjoyment up.
  3. There was a thread on this in forced induction recently started by Duncan but if you can't find anything useful there, Dan at Elite Racing Developments in Qld should be able to point the way to who he uses but pretty much they send you a sample jar to be returned.
  4. I believe the RB30 block is about 1" taller so with a stock plenum it might foul on the strut brace or it might not, as chuckie has posted above. Assuming you use a front facing plenum you should be fine.
  5. from F1.com on wet testing of tyres under lights... Good idea for future Grands Prix?!?! Massa will be shitting bricks.
  6. Last time I looked into it there was evidence that Nissan uses or has used a Motul derived oil. I can't find any of the links (with a quick search). I don't know if this is fact, like most keyboard warriors I am only repeating what I have read. Any decent semi-syn or synthetic oil with around 10w-40w will do the job fine as long as you service the car with sensible intervals. With the low cost of oil testing it is worthwhile sending a sample away if you want to know what is happening inside your engine.
  7. I needed to cut the small lugs on the front of the fan to get clearance for my intercooler on the R33. The stagea came back without the fan after having the FMIC fitted. Several months later after driving it in hot weather (sitting in traffic) it was apparent there was an issue with the aircon. I went out and bought a slimline aftermarket fan (like Bob/KiwiRS4T).
  8. I believe Nissan oil is a Motul oil.
  9. The 99 stagea has the RB25DET neo and the ecu from that series stagea has the same pinouts as the R34 GT-t (excluding the traction control pin 51...unless it is one of the 2WD versions). On the cost side you would need the loom, ecu and Nistune board to be in a similar position to getting the R33GTR PFC modified and wired up. It depends on price but a either of the options from Chequered will be a good thing.
  10. Nicky Hayden is standing next to the guy that is going to towel him down and make him wonder why he is riding MotoGP....kinda the same way Felipe is feeling.
  11. You suck , I am slightly older rather than younger but I wish my car was registered out in the sticks at the farm with ma and pa kettle wolv.
  12. Cheers BB.
  13. Are you running a little extra boost by any chance as well? Sounds like rich and retard on the factory ecu. What model stagea, what modifications?
  14. I imagine this depends on the amount of fuel and how much advance. AFAIK EGT's can climb with relatively low advance as the flame front is slow to develop and combustion is continuing as it continues out the exhaust. Adding fuel doesn't lower EGT's in this case, it can increase them. Presumably if you run more advance (in this case) and get the peak cylinder pressure up earlier (to complete full combustion earlier) then the EGT's should drop.
  15. Does anyone routinely flow test new injectors before installing, if so what variance are they seeing?
  16. It seems like the closest thing to doing the job is a GT3582 but thinking a little sideways would one of those GT3576 (ford XR6 hybrid things) go close to doing the job?
  17. Are you going externally gated? If so there are some nice Tial turbine housings as an option for a GT2871/GT-RS sized turbos. I think you are going the best way by re-thinking using the CHRA you have.
  18. From the advert
  19. You could try reading the hypergear thread here in forced induction for more information on these turbos.
  20. I'm a bit embarrassed with all this talk of blue waffle but since it is just between us it should be ok to you the pictures. Do you think this is normal??
  21. I washed the sand out of my vagina but now I have a bit of a raw spot. The discharge is clear but I am wondering what (if anything) I should rub into it. thanks in advance wolverina 13yrs old
  22. How about calling the team Bodacious Tata?!?!
