It looks like that turbo/wastegate setup sits about as high as the factory plenum.
Do you know if the factory plenum would fit if there is more bonnet clearance on the stageas??
I am not ready to embark on an RB30 build yet but it interesting to know. If you are able to check heights that would be handy.
Do you really think he could end up at Ferrari??
Whilst there is double speak in F1, Horner repeated that he is back for them next year (per the contract). MW pointed out during the year that whatever team you end up with you need to deal with an ego be it Alonso or Hamilton so what does he gain from leaving?
Ferrari would have to consider punting Massa as he can't stay close enough to the pace to support Alonso and that won't change next year. Sutil would love a tier 1 drive but perhaps Hulkenberg has shown enough.
They swapped out the engine from Brazil.
He was complaining about a lack of grip in this sector. He is the slowest out of the top ten in this sector. Given he has been there or thereabouts with SV all year it is most likely there is an issue with the setup on the car. Unlikely it will feel better with a full load of fuel, so head down and cross fingers that something falls in his lap....cos it doesn't look like he will be dictating anything in this race.
He was slow in a straight line in sector 2. Something isn't right with the car, aero or engine??
Corner 1 carnage with some desperate lunges to decide the WDC is my call.
Oops sorry, I misunderstood the meaning of "pop".
Ironically MW's biggest threats are his best chance if they can circulate reliably....or catastrophically crash into each other.
Nope, MW needs both SV and FA to finish or both to crash/stop. He will almost be cheering on SV to run first for all but the last lap and FA for 3rd or 4th place.
The only other wildcard is if LH can hold 3rd then SV is free to turn his engine into a shower of sparks.
Bernie would use most of the old F1 engine budget on viagra....second only to Flava Flav.
Really looking forward to practice to see what sort of pace each team really has.
