  1. Nelsinho Piquet isn't running this year so is Algo going to get all patriotic and park it while Nando is in front?
  2. Z32 AFM 2nd hand by any chance? If so there is a better than even chance it may need re-soldering. CRC Red Urethane Seal Coat for your coil packs is the cheapest fix. Click the link below for more info. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4540665
  3. x2 this sort of combination is one of the most used (on SAU) and reliable combinations. It should take you to a happy place. I would give it more of a nudge than 14psi as there is little harm to be done while they are tuning the car. You control the level of boost with your right foot anyway on a day to day basis so why not map it a little higher while you are at it. Turn up the boost until it stops making easy power and leave it there, something a competent tuner will do anyway.
  4. Best bet is to check the pre-loved ones for sale by SAU members.
  5. almost certainly the R33 but I might be able to pinch the yellow thing with ms wolv's permission.
  6. How long will you be there? I might finish work early enough but it is hard to know in advance.
  7. I would remove everything and re-install the timing belt from scratch. Ask Guilt-Toy about the issues he had with his car, it sounds very similar.
  8. I thought I would link up something from Juggernaut http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=5075272
  9. Forced induction = the new wasteland.
  10. Call NPC or pm Dan @ elite racing developments. It should meet your needs on price and drivability. ps. I have a Jim Berry organic single in the R33 which is a good thing.
  11. About to get rid of the cushion button for an NPC supplied organic single (exedy internals) via ERD.
  12. Sorry about that chef, I saw the 260RS in your profile. The upgrade path is pretty straightforward I reckon a hi-flow is probably the most logical step as there is the least time messing around. GCG hi-flow, Hypergear Hi-flow, HKS GT-RS, HKS 2835ProS, GT3071, GT3076 are all options each with its own pro or con either based on price or result. Some will need additional parts like dump changes, spacers etc. I may have a HKS GT-RS kit 2nd hand for sale or a HKS 2835 ProS kit (with a brand new cartridge installed) once I decide which one to keep.
  13. 260RS? How much power do you want? Twin garrett 2860 in whatever version meets your needs ie. -7 or -5
  14. Hi Teren Been a while since we chatted. I work Sat at Richmond till a little later so I am not able to be there plus I would only have the R33. There is a NSW meet coming up soon as well if you haven't seen it.
  15. It would be cheaper to buy a better matched and more modern turbo than the 2540 that to install cams. You will probably save money, get better drivability and make more usuable power.
  16. I think there is plenty of room to challenge this based on Australian standards. The sign is for safety of workers. Posted speeds should reflect Australian standards. If there are no workers then it doesn't strictly apply. However, your speed should reflect the condition of the road and should be lower than the speed limit in place for that road under normal circumstances. A good mouthpiece should get most people off this sort of fine. There was a massive number of NSW drivers fined in the Lane Cove Tunnel with a similar 40km/h roadwork sign in place despite no roadworks being undertaken during the times that the fines were issued. All these fines were removed. An unnamed RTA official spilled the beans on the legality of these signs under these circumstances which is believed to be the catalyst for the minister's move to quash the fines.
  17. Are the bump stops made out of unobtanium?
  18. You could paint a face, stick a dress on it and call it Barbie. (SAU the place where you get the best advice on aftermarket BOV's )
  19. I am guessing the lower bush on the Bilstein shocks is knackered? The left is pretty stuffed on our one. The shocks otherwise are still ok on the car. You can buy replacement bushes and press them in but I don't have a part number.
  20. Just get the suspension place to have a look. You might have aftermarket Jap suspension which historically had been a little on the firm side. Some of the newer Jap stuff is pretty good but like Tangles said there are plenty of good options out there with Bilsteins. First see what you have then come back and work out the best way to proceed before spending money.
  21. Schumi up to his old tricks but as a backmarker this time hence the lack of tolerance?
  22. The gearbox would be a genuine issue there is no sense in compromising points for the constructors championship. The pit strategy was either biased or flawed or both. Either is a pretty poor advertisement for the brains trust on the pitwall at RBR. ps. Geez if you did that milk advert or gay porn when you were struggling for a dollar I am not sure what would be more damaging for your reputation on becoming public knowledge?
  23. Been there done that with the R33 (pretty sure the idler bearing seized), it stripped the timing belt. Towed it to a workshop, just for shits and giggles they installed another timing belt and turned it over with no apparent issues. Turned the key and it started like new. Mr Valve must have given Mr Piston a miss. The timing belt was on the wall of fame for a while there.
  24. If they pitted him when he his tyres starting going off he would have come out around SV plus or minus a second. Webber was held up by several seconds per lap by backmarkers jockeying for position in their own battles (Sutil was singled out by name for seeming to ignore the blue flags and/or not looking in the mirrors). His tyres might not have made the distance but if they were thinking the others might need another pit stop then there was no harm to be done in pitting him then. If his tyres held up he would be challenging for a podium if they didn't he would be no risk of finishing lower than 5th. Something doesn't smell right with that call by RBR.
