  1. The odd HKS cast manifold floats around for about $600. They will flow more than a stocker and are divided, if you are looking another option.

  3. I think it will need more time Dave. Many other people have changed springs at the same time and have ascribed the increase in firmness to the springs but as you can feel, the new shocks are a big factor.
  4. I had a quick look and it seems to be on the 4th from the top circlip on the rear and 3rd from top on the front giving an all around ride height of 365 from centre of wheel to arch. The front is one groove higher than I want but there was a slight knocking noise coming from the front and there was a small witness mark on the shock seat so going higher seemed a way to rule out that as a source. It turns out the noise was a broken exhaust mount that was perfectly stable unless you gave it a really big vertical heave. The front lower bush on the shock is looking a bit second hand already and needs replacing whenever it comes off again. It seems stageas are hard on them.
  5. Hi Dave I can check which circlip groove we have them set on when I get home. I have reset them once as the springs had sagged a whisker over the last 2 years. I would give it a few hundred K's to settle in and see how you find the ride. I remember thinking the same thing about the new Bilsteins a few years ago but they seem to be fine with some time on them.
  6. What is the rationale for turning the aircon on? I am pretty sure it turns off with full throttle application anyway.

  8. Cam haters. I'm not sure who thinks they magically add power........ I reckon there is about 10-15kw going to 256 deg poncams but whether it is worth it is an entirely different question. I would rebuild the turbo, re-tune and be happy or spend the extra money on buying a GT3076 if you want a bigger number.

  10. Nistune is the way to go on an S2. There were no better options than a PowerFC years ago, now the Nistune is the best bang for buck streetable ECU upgrade.

  12. The good thing is they will come with new O-rings and be clean. In most cases 2nd hand injectors won't. Do Deatschwerks supply individual flow tests like they do with the hi-flowed ones they supply?
  13. Deatschwerks are a good company to deal with. Was there an issue with the injectors sealing properly with the different body size? If they go straight in that is another good option since fiddling around with plugs and spacers will usually cost you in labour negating any savings.
  14. Buy the Nismo ones from perfectrun, nengun, greenline etc Fueling is too important. Do it once, do it right.
  15. There are only a few options that are true bolt off and bolt on with no other changes. GCG Hi-flow is a direct swap. HKS GT-RS kit comes with new lines but otherwise bolts up in the same spot. The Hypergear Hi-flow are usually bush bearing (unless you specify otherwise) which can come with different specs but they may require a new oil line. Most other options will require changing the dump and/or intake and/or heatshield and/or new lines. The pick of the bunch for what you want is the GCG Hi-flow with a neo turbo/OP6 housing based on price and simplicity or refitting and proven results. (All moving parts are replaced so they are a new turbo) Engine management is the key so getting it all tuned with a Nistune is the most cost effective way of getting the most out of your current set up. Keep in mind you should also have a 3" exhaust, FMIC, decent boost control, fuel pump and possibly will require new injectors to get the most out of the turbo upgrade.

  19. they aren't $4500 new. $2800 from nengun.....which is expensive compared to a quality hi-flow but certainly isn't $4500.

  22. That would be great if it is possible. Would you have chosen the 0.82 housing for the GT3076 or the 1.06 housing if they had been available?
