  1. Pretty sure the factory shock was pulled out and the Bilsteins put back in to replace it. The bottom spring seat comes with the Bilsteins. That was it as far as i know.
  2. CL11QUE i have the factory RS4S ecu sitting here in the Hills if you want to try it. The PowerFC is running the RS4S for years now so the pinouts are identical (with the exception of traction control....ie pin 51)
  3. People have played around with adustable cam gears on neo's. Bass Junky has a long thread on what he did in forced induction from a few years ago. There is some adjustment on the factory exhaust cam gear (on the back side). Bass Junky didn't find much advantage in cam gear changes but others like joeyjoejoe...etc believes it was worthwhile. You can move the curves around with them to where it suits you most but allow that you will need to spend time and money on the dyno getting it spot on so perhaps a set of TypeB 260deg poncams are better value when all is said and done (but you will need to check valve clearances and may need to re-shim which is more time and money). The 260 deg poncams make more power everywhere in my experience. Generally it will prove to be cheaper to buy the best turbo combo money can buy for your goal and spend on good tuning.
  4. Stock springs work fine with the Bilsteins on my Stagea.
  5. There is something fishy there Roy.
  6. AFAIK larger turbine but smaller compressor than you already have on a series 1 stagea. The turbine is the same as a Neo RB25. Not really an upgrade but ok if you have blown your factory turbo and want a cheap way to get back on the road.
  7. The rear door locking/whirring is exactly what you think it is. Idle speed anywhere around 750-800rpm will do the trick. Plug gap of 1.1mm is fine assuming your coil packs are in good nick. IF you increase the boost and the spark breaks down you can lower the gap to 0.8mm or so. RB25DET neo run 15deg advance btdc (not the 20deg of the RB26) You should have R34 GT-t style seat. Larger factory swaybars vs RS4. That is a start anyway. All you need now is to get stuck into some mods.
  8. leak/split in intercooler hoses.
  9. RB25DET neo have solid lifters
  10. fiddlesticks!! (that is a great bit of smack so take this one back) haazaaa, put up your dukes and i will teach you a lesson with the sweet science old chum. I reckon the Williams was a poor car with poor reliability. I reckon the Jaguar was worse. I know the Minardi was rubbish. (we have seen what happens to good drivers in average cars, Alonso, Raikkonen, Hamilton)
  11. Be fair to captain chin. He has only had a decent car for one season.
  12. darrin, i can check the part number tonite if you haven't got an answer by then.
  13. R34 PowerFC's work fine with the RS4S (with a 3.6v feed to pin 51 to get rid of the TC engine checklight) so there is no reason a ViPEC won't work.
  14. Once again congratulations to MW. Kobayashi was pretty good barring that crappy move on Nakajima. Especially considering the small amount of time he has had in the car.
  15. if it is like the RB25 afm's then a simple re-solder of the dry joints internally will fix it.
  16. the torque meter will move but you will need to stick it to the car to get the wheels turning. find some gravel or wet road and light it up.
  17. I thought the DE use 270cc sidefeeds? (happy to defer to your greater knowledge)
  18. I think quali at 9.30 sounds fine but for the race... ...i feel obligated to get up and use the recently installed projector.
  19. I thought you were in Sydney. I am going off the formula1.com converter which says 3am sydney time and that is consistent with other years. i just did some reading and it will be live on Ch10 and delayed on One HD. So 2.45am is the go. (quali on Ch 10 live at 3.55am sunday) delayed on One HD.
  20. i make that 3am on the East Coast.
  21. yes, from compliance there was three anchor points.
  22. Call motorsport connections 9838 7272 at Seven Hills. I am pretty sure they have something suitable.
  23. There are plenty of people that have used PFC's on autos. It works exactly the same as a factory ECU except there is no code to reduce timing to ease the shifts on the PFC, hence the shifts are a bit harsher and this increases wear on the auto. Mating the plug to the PFC is the trickiest thing particulary on S1 stageas due to the 3 different ECU pinout configurations. (dangerman4 has written a bit on his experiences with auto's and PFC in forced induction)
