  2. also check out ATPturbo they may not supply a complete bolt on kit but coming from the US they are pretty decent on pricing too. they are helpful with emails too so worth asking if they can supply the lot on a bolt on basis. cost of shipping from US to Australia for a turbo etc (from memory) was about USD$95 so to UK should be about the same. warranty might be an issue but turbo warranties are worth a lick of spit anyway.
  3. "Piquet's move on Hamilton was Senna-esque" Words we didn't hear from the British commentary team.
  4. you will need a new downpipe if you get a garrett turbine housing (which i would recommend) there are some GT3071's and GT3076's shoehorned into nissan turbine housings but i believe you will get a lesser result this way. there is a good thread on what constitutes the best version in forced induction at the moment. the 550cc injectors will be fine. clutch will only need replacing IF it lets go which is more a function of how you treat it/use it. Nistune will be fine.
  5. the minimum weight with car and driver is 600kgs. Webber was pulled in on team orders that round about 3 laps early....
  6. hi anthony 1. you can buy a spacer from SAU traders or turbo shops. 2. internal wastegate unless you want to get involved in changing to an external wastegate (which means either new manifold or you need to modify the turbine housing to fit an external wastegate off it). 3. T3 flange 4. Z32 is a straight fit but your ECU (ie. aftermarket) will need to support the change.
  7. dump the crumpet and sink some beers with some local muffin while you watch the race... ....there just has to be a way to combine all three things.
  8. i have mine firmly pressed against the master cylinder (maybe 1/2 turn after finger tight?!) but make sure you re-check and tighten it as the firewall may flex back a bit with use. really you should only need enough to ensure the hat is held against it. as long as the master cylinder can't move it should be fine.
  9. Pretty sure everyone except Barrichello on softs. Webber's 2nd sector was pretty slow so i am guessing he understeered somewhere here, maybe he was carrying a higher fuel load than Vettel but Webber was the shizzle in sector 1 so it's more likely that a small mistake cost him 2 tenths.
  10. The softer compound tyres are going to be tricky to manage. The performance dropped off on the end of the 2nd sector and into the 3rd sector. If the Brawns are easy on the tyres as we have seen previously they are a good chance during that phase. Vettel seemed to be quite hard on the tyres last race so he will have his work cut out but he is very very quick. Top job by Vettel with Button, Barrichello, Webber and Trulli in the first 5 places.
  11. Vettel looks really quick over a single lap. They will fuel him really light and Webber will be the pack horse.
  12. Bugger. ps. Piquet has parked his career in the kitty litter in Q1.
  13. certainly brawn have been foxing. if you read the driver quotes from practice 1 & 2 you'd think they were struggling. big fuel loads and race setup (which is what RBR seemed to be doing) should see them in good stead. i think Ferrari are a genuine chance of a podium this weekend.
  14. button and barrichello are slower than webber but i bet they get a whole lot quicker when it counts........ ......plus they don't have a broken car.
  15. practice 2 on now. Vettel has stopped on the track after damaging a gearbox or driveshaft on the kerbs. it'll be a big job for RBR to get him back on the track and up to speed for the weekend. i presume they are keen to get data on the new aero gear so having him sit on the side of the track will be pretty disappointing for the organisation. the track seems to be pretty green with lots of drivers going on off track safaris.
  16. it is an interesting area. we made more power everywhere with a bellmouth over a very high quality name brand long split dump. there wasn't heaps in it but back to back more power/torque with a bellmouth up around 250rwkw. having a larger negative pressure area just outside the turbine outlet provided by a bellmouth may allowing room for thermal expansion that a split doesn't allow?
  17. hang on ryan, motul and castrol are trash. that is a big call. which oil grades and types are you talking about? there are lower spec and higher spec oils in every range to suit an application or get it down to a price.
  18. girly arms....lol da ladeeez might be reading this.
  19. i have a 24mm solid rear and barring serious track work it seems to be on (or around) the money for the street with Billies and standard RS4S springs. i'd be surprised if you have 27/24 (unless the screwy whiteline nomenclature is the reason, from memory there was a 27 in the specs but it was a 22mm bar). if you do have 27/24 and it isn't enough then i don't want to arm wrestle you. (quick edit: rear bar was 24mm not 22mm)
  20. 30mm solid? why do you suggest such a large increase? a solid 24mm vs hollow 24mm (i presume this is on a 260RS) is about a 70% increase. (quick edit: 24mm not 22mm)
  21. the sway bars you have are bigger than auto stageas so the upgrade isn't as big a jump for you as for most others.
