  1. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Bo...sta-t67683.html try this DIY it is pretty much the same except for the cradle mods. ps. hammer hits wood, wood turns that tight mofo plastic cover.
  2. the larger turbo is the larger turbine housing on the neo's. the compressor is the same.
  3. stagea FS section has one.
  4. extrude hone time! then post the results for us.....
  5. sly33 do you have the before and after flowbench results at hand.
  6. the guy in sydney is a little hard to find but i understand he is still doing them. the rumour is that he is busy doing other types of work and is fitting in the extrude honing around that at the moment.
  7. pm sent
  8. redbull pitcrew much more sensibly attired with fireproof suits, lipstick and nailpolish.
  9. toyota pit crew looks sorted.
  10. try the forced induction quick reference guide stickied at the top of forced induction. there are few basic questions that can't be answered by a quick search. btw HKS GT-RS is a garrett GT2871 with a HKS specific T3 internally gated turbine housing. the garrett unit is not a bolt-on.
  11. practice 2 on live now.
  12. http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogu...2_cam_RB25.html the clearances are listed here under specs. ie. 0.45mm
  13. head stays on with poncams but will probably require shimming. the factory valve clearances are different from the recommended valve clearances from Tomei. some of the smarter guys here might be able to clarify if factory clearances are ok or not in the real world.
  14. 260 deg poncams type B. they seem to make more power everywhere (10-15kw with a HKS GT-RS) with a slightly lumpier idle. need to check valve clearances (+shims) which can add to the cost of installation. depending on your application they are a good thing but if you are chasing higher peak power it will be cheaper to buy a bigger turbo.
  15. if you are at 0.8 bar there is little point but the bleeder is sitting there doing nothing, so if you want to play with it you are welcome. maybe it will bring it on a tiny bit earlier.
  16. th 0.82 housing works pretty well on RB25's with progressive delivery from what i have seen. the 0.63 may provide a more light switch power delivery but will probably run out of puff with a 500hp compressor bolted to it. i was just agreeing with cubes hence the short post.
  17. 0.82 on the GT3076 forget the 0.63
  18. i have a turbosmart bleedvalve that came off my R33 if you want it. it'll cost you the time to pick it up.
  19. what boost control are you using (sorry if you already posted it) and how many psi were those runs at?
  20. congrats nick. doesn't it make a huge difference with the PFC tuned. so much low and mid-range power that is unlocked which transforms the car.
  21. hi jim you are in the hills area? if you need access to a datalogit let me know. i'll pm you.
  22. hi jason you were given lots of good advice at the beginning of the thread. why not take that advice and buy one of the 'quality' options rather than trying to save a few hundred on an unknown turbo with unknown results, unknown reliability and unknown quality. unless the standard turbo has actually failed then it will be good for about 200rwkw. if the ceramic turbine ends up in the cat then go and buy something decent or a well inspected 2nd hand standard turbo.
