  1. i doubt it is stock with cable ties and missing the rubber on the bottom.
  2. articular cartilage and synovial fluid has a lower coefficient.
  3. ok, checked nengun and i had only checked ProS versions. i found the 52 trim.
  4. hi trent where can i get HKS 3037 52 trim? what are the differences between the ProS versions and the garden variety?
  5. i have a powerfc (RS4S). i would suggest looking at a remap as they seem to be the most economical and logical way to go, presuming like 90% of stagea owners you have an auto. the remaps weren't much of an option on R33/R34 based ecu's until recent times hence the lack of detail about them in forced induction. the issues Apexi have faced in japan and the relative scarcity of powerfcs for R33 GTS-t/R34GT-t means that other options have been invested in locally. DrDrift would be the guru in melbourne?!!?
  6. the current HKS 3037's are all 56 trim comps as far as i know.
  7. atpturbo.com has some divided housings listed
  8. sounds like something max mosely might have said in that dungeon.
  9. can we get a plot with time on the bottom if you have a datalogit handy. is response best measured against time?
  10. 2nd hand HKS cast manifold would be an upgrade if you can pick one up for cheap. it will probably spool things up a little quicker. $500 or less would be good buying and certainly an improvement over stock. however, you will need to allow for manifold studs and time to do it. quick edit: just noticed your location, might be cheaper sourcing HKS manifold in japan than one here. that might make this worthwhile but dump and bigger cat seem the no-brainer mods if you are budgeting.
  11. HKS GT-RS is a 52 trim comp but has a better turbine housing than the garrett equivalent.
  12. 1. bush bearing turbo for $900 (certainly NOT a $2200 turbo) depends on who made it, potentially ok potentially a doggy turbo. 2. HKS2540 is a doggy turbo, small turbine and overly large compressor. mating a 350hp turbine to a 600hp compressor does not make for happy times. you can do much better. the GCG hi-flow or HKS GT-RS are the best bolt-on options for most cars as they represent a fair increase in power with almost stock response. you pay a little more but get a certain result.
  13. atpturbo.com will get you close with the GT3071. i think there is GT2871 available in T3 form now so that will be close to the HKS version with a less effective turbine housing.
  14. the remap should allow changes to ignition timing. this would be the advantage over SAFC.
  15. how much are they charging for HKS GT-RS kits there? it should be reasonable money. nengun should be able to get it to you for around AUD$2k (bolt in kit). alternatively what about a GT3071 (60mm turbine, 56 trim comp) should be 450hp turbo but some fiddling around with dumps, spacers (maybe) and braided lines. it depends on availability in japan. failing that atpturbo.com seem to be reasonable for prices and delivery. plus if you can pick up a HKS cast manifold on the cheap as they have a divider you could even buy the split turbine housing to go with it which should spool up even quicker. lots of options out there. how much is too much to spend? quick edit: greenline have the GT-RS for 222,500 yen.
  16. x3 $1000 definitely limits things so a 2nd hand SAFC + tune and a 2nd hand dump easily under the budget. even has change for a cheap bleed valve. bang for buck mods.
  17. RBNT's car FTW. all the fruit and a great price.
  18. i've seen those wheel covers before.... ....outside the general bourke hotel late on a saturday night just near the kebab shop.
  19. ...but does it produce some hydrogen with wasted energy from your car. i don't think anyone here would be using this as a perpetual motion machine. if you are able to convert your wasted energy into a form that you can readily re-use ie something combustible then perhaps there is some merit. the quote that "there is no evidence that they operate as claimed" is clever wording. this type of statement is dismissive. there is some evidence that they work as claimed. hydrogen is produced. whether it is efficient or worthwhile that is another matter.
  20. if they are standard R33 shocks etc do not do it oddyman. buy some stagea specific shocks from the group buy. live long and prosper.
  21. if the head was coming off i would spend the money (presuming i had the coin lying around). you probably won't be pulling the head off for poncams so i think the answer is no.
