mike, the hose you showed me doesn't go to the wastegate. one of the hoses off the T goes to the wastegate.

the engine check light on ska's car is probably the traction control on the R34 powerfc. the right voltage to this pin = problem solved.

$300ish for dynamat bulk pack, dynaxorb and a bottle of prepsol. the rest is elbow grease. a bulk pack should do both doors and leave you enough to get stuck into the boot and some under the rear seats if you haven't had enough fun yet. alternatively, phone a friend and you could probably do the doors on two cars (with more dynaxorb for the other car) and see how it sounds. if you want to go further at a later date then save up and buy another pack of dynamat and a few beers.

GreddyGo, i have a 9853R virtually brand new in the stagea, if you were keen on owning one with a 6 disc stacker (all in excellent condition) i would be happy to chat.

last time i checked a bulk pack of dynamat extreme weighed 9kg. if you went to the trouble of installing the whole pack it isn't a large impost but a couple of doors should only add a few kg's.

alpine decks too complicated to set up and use IMO. from experience.

with all due respect to pixel8r, his car makes less power than a standard turbo.... perhaps his turbo has more headroom (maybe it will, maybe it won't due to the turbine housing) but it doesn't look like a good or sensible match to his needs or his current level of modification and the proof was in the results he came back with. you are getting great advice from cubes, black32 etc and trident, perhaps really listening is the way to go.

the difference in turbines is about 10-15kw i'm not sure about the smaller runners though. it was something we looked at as a reason for hitting a wall on the dyno but it was more or less rejected by smarter and more knowledgeable folk.
