  1. for the HKS 2835 pro s don't forget you want to buy the kit not just the turbo as you will need all the paraphernalia to go with it.
  2. http://www.atpturbo.com/ currently on the front page is the listing for the new GT30 and GT35 housings.
  3. trident i read your first post and understand you want a internal gate. if you go thru the garrett catalogue they offered a GT3071WG with a cropped 56mm turbine, it is an internally gated turbo. however it doesn't use a genuine GT30 turbine housing. hopefully the one GCG are quoting is one of the new 'genuine' GT30 housings with 60mm turbine (not 56mm) and internal gate. if it isn't you could order one from ATP and buy the rest locally.
  4. trident, if you are unsure whether it will outperform a HKS 2835 pro s (remembering that both the GT3071 & HKS 2835 pro s use a 71mm compressor) and then the only way to be sure would be to go the 76mm compressor. if GCG are talking about the GT3071WG disco is going to try to talk you out of it as it has the cropped turbine, if it is new then it may be one of the new internally gated garrett housings. ask about GT3076 that should give you a little more headroom or splash out on a HKS3037 (the HKS version of the 3076) check atpturbo.com as they can supply a genuine GT30 internally gated turbine housing that you can mate to whatever combo takes your fancy.
  5. adam, the nismo catalogue has them down as 370cc
  6. forget the fuel cut defender. read a few sticky threads on SAFC's. all the answers you could ever need have been written down several times.
  7. hang on GTST, higher flow due to lower restriction should lead to a decrease in pressure. (depending on where you are measuring it). then you load up some pics of Bernoulli's Effect and your head gets more messed with.
  8. reggi, i love seeing sound deadening pictures, a man after my own heart. a small cost on time for such a big improvement.
  9. i think he means the internal gate set up like this ATP disco already posted a link on another thread.
  10. SMIC sold. Injectors still available. make an offer.
  11. pixel at the very least bolt on any 3" exhaust system. once you have done this you can reassess the GT30. like most others here i think it is a touch too large but (like tangles says) until you uncork the restriction on the exhaust side, the turbine will struggle to turn the compressor efficiently. the response should improve dramatically once you do this. we tried both split and bellmouth dumps on my stagea and the bellmouth made more power with less exhaust side restriction. i can't vouch for this being consistent as the common wisdom is to go the split dump due lower turbulence when the wastegate cracks open, nevertheless we chose what worked best in our case.
  12. 66yostagea check your pm's measuring pressure drop is as you have described. race teams will check pre-IC, post IC and exhaust manifold pressure.
  13. frx have you listened to yamaha (old) yst800 and newer yst1200 etc downward firing subs (in home audio). the nature of the "killed wave is lost on me when i listen to these subs. they fire at a base plate and they seem to be a very decent sounding and reasonably priced sub. can you elaborate more?
  14. the install of the TV is very neat. despite a few early detractors mike you have a very tidy car.
  15. strydes, i'll eat my shorts if you don't make +200rwkw (allowing the turbo is up to it). make sure you at least pm me when you get the powerFC installed/tuned
  16. boost gauge in ashtray maybe??
