  1. wade if the afr's look good then a SAFC won't help much. although if the afr's look good at that level of flow it is surprising the factory ecu didn't go much fatter. if the car went thru 180kph to 190kph does that imply the ECU speed limiter has been tampered with and possibly the ecu is not standard? 203awkw should keep you happy.
  2. wade do you have a chart with AFR's?
  3. cheers bob can you measure the ID of both?
  4. abo bob, my understanding is that the plenum and runners are smaller on the neo stagea vs neo skyline. the top gasket is for a neo stagea and the bottom one came off a neo skyline.
  5. SK, brett at GCG insisted an R33 turbo would be unsuitable on a neo due to the smaller turbine housing. next time you speak to him can you ask him why?? (and translate) didn't make sense to me at the time but he talked me out of using the one i had possession of originally, prior to hi-flowing the one on the car.
  6. leave the rears alone and just spend your money on the front speakers/deck/amp/sub/sound deadening.
  7. SK the top one is the neo stagea gasket as it was explained to me. the other one was from an R34 GT-t (unless i have my wires crossed). we compared prank's plenum (S1) and it is substantially larger (visually). UAS spoke to nissan and confirmed the cams are the same but i still have my doubts.
  8. i think the part numbers are different. some one with FAST will be handy here (hint anyone). i just got the car back and it has been a huge head scratcher why we were running out of puff. everything was checked or changed unfortunately that left the factory parts like cams and plenum (which we thought would be the same as an R34). we struggled to get much over 210-215 rwkw without screwing in a whole lot of boost so there was clearly a restriction. the car finally made 237rwkw with a GT-RS turbo (with all the appropriate fruit attached to the car). anyway i hope the next person to modify can add/confirm some of the details above.
  9. to save you time and money the series 2 stagea neo engine seems to have smaller runners so the plenum needs to be thought out as well. i suspect that the cams may be different as well. you don't want to hit a wall powerwise due to flow issues.
  10. what head are you going to use?
  11. i think i have found a potential restriction to airflow in a series 2 stagea (manual). here are some pics of the gaskets from a series 2 Stagea and an R34 GT-t. this seems to indicate that the runners for the Stagea are smaller and i am guessing but possibly the cams are different (not verified yet) contrary to most information i had found previously. the plenum visually appears smaller. i am guessing this has been done to improve down low performance on the heavier car sacrificing some top-end!?!? thoughts anyone?
  12. 100% straight bolt-on ps. i still have one in perfect condition for sale with shroud located in sydney.
  13. wade can you post the dyno sheet please.
  14. still for sale and still a very clean seat.
  15. sorry disco, to clarify the +/- i mean they have run the car with and without the cat back exhaust, they changed dump pipes, they changed from catco honeycomb cat to catco metal cat. just about all the permutations that you can think of. the type of muffler etc i can't answer as precisely as JP at UAS.
  16. disco UAS has played extensively with my neo powered stagea, with and without 3" exhaust including bellmouth dump pipe, SS split dump, +/- straight thru mid-muffler, +/- rear muffler. calling them now while it is fresh in their minds might be worthwhile. this is a very quiet system at idle and on road.
  17. 70 dyno runs it appears so i'd say they put some time into it. the plazmaman plenum seems to be racking up some good results.
  18. ongsta save up for both, do it once and do it right.
  19. brett@GCG says the smaller turbine housing creates issues on neo. (please don't ask me what issues as the ones given by brett went thru to the keeper...either i didn't understand or they didn't make sense to me). i find it hard to believe the different housing really is an issue but this is what they do all day, all i do is pay the costs if i make a mistake with buying the wrong parts, so i took his advice.
  20. GCG do not recommend using an R33 based hi-flow on neo engines.
  21. pixel, i don't understand why you were looking for a 2nd hand R34 turbo. why not use your turbo? unless the time off the road is an issue.
  22. R33 and R34 are interchangeable (not so sure about R32).
