  1. it was done using the old skin i would guess hence the white type.
  2. from a poster here (Fantasy Performance)..... "The exhaust housing's I am offering have a T03 foot print and are cast by Precision Turbo's in the US. They use a Ford style T03 internal wastegate set up but are a proper GT housings" i believe the housing was coming from a Qld Turbo supplier. perhaps there is an option internally gated with the 60mm turbine. ps. don't panic if you don't understand the above info. i have been getting my head around this info over a period of time, with a lot of patient help from disco. there are lots of threads that relate to the 'real' GT3071R' if you do a search you will find them pretty easily.
  3. dale i will have a set of standard wheels available very soon. i have sent pm. located in sydney.
  4. try pricing a HKS exhaust housing from greenline.jp or racetep.com ps. Precision Turbos in the USA apparently also make internally gated GT30 exhaust housings.
  5. there will be turbulence for sure, perhaps not dissimilar to a combined dump. however for simplicity if there is no substantial drop in performance (granted there is some loss) this might be a neat and easy solution. does anyone know exactly the cost to performance of combined vs split dumps?
  6. i am waiting hear some thoughts about the "ultimate wastegates" from a turbo dealer that has ordered one. cubes, are you sure a GT3071R would only get going at 4500rpm?? i would have banked on them being a pretty neat match with ok response.
  7. paul, the advantage of the SMIC is that you have unimpeded airflow thru to the wheelarch and no hot radiator sitting behind it. a relatively short pipe run back helps response (which i reckon i can feel now i have an FMIC) the disadvantage is the surface area to volume ratio isn't as favourable (vs FMIC) for heat exchange in the space. the trust unit has plenty of scope to go > 200rwkw. given the cost of installing a FMIC vs SMIC they are a viable option for folks looking for good streetable power.
  8. trust/greddy also make one that works fine too, they come up for sale 2nd hand occasionally but should provide enough flow for basic hi-flowed turbo (without quite testing the turbos upper limits) but with stock response or better.
  9. AFAIK you can buy the dump separately. greenline are a better bet for a reply if you have a query.
  10. exhaust cam gear on an RB25DET series 2 (not neo) gained +10kw with gains from the early-mid range to top end and is completely worthwhile if you are changing timing belt. mine was set near enough to 4deg retard.
  11. got a price for the 0.87 AR with the rest of the kit which takes it $500 over the 0.68 AR kit. yikes!! thanks for the dyno sheet SLY33.
  12. thanks, i just got my reply late last night from greenline, confirming what you just said. interested to see another report on the performance when you get it dynoed.
  13. g'day which A/R is it and how much was the kit?? pm if you don't want to post the price.
  14. the 984 works fine in-tank and i wrote a DIY guide for that pump if you are a keen DIY'er. price looks good for a new pump too.
  15. oops double post.
  16. go the Bosch 984 i say. hose end on the bottom, with minor mods will fit the factory sock so no pick up problems, less trouble (but less flow) than an 044 to fit in tank.
  17. stanley knife, pop rivets and some small washers are your friend. approximately the same size should be fine with the aim being improving flow thru the IC.
  18. if you undo the undertray you can get the IC out without too much trouble. you definitely won't need to remove the front bar to change IC's. it is easier to get the cooler off but it takes longer if you take the bar off. while you have the undertray and guard "loosened off" the car cut out the vent at the the front of the wheel arch and pop rivet some mesh in its place. this should help with air flow thru stock position.
  19. sorry to hijack campbell site having issues with PM's GTR10F can u email me on [email protected] with details of heads you have please.
  20. Petroject (Parramatta)??
  21. unless it's pinging it's tits off...
  22. hi tarek that pdf i sent you a few weeks ago has the GT3071R version that disco is referring.
  23. http://apps.bosch.com.au/motorsport/downloads/fuelpumps.pdf you can check the specs here of the bosch range.
  24. soften the spring setting if there is any adjustment left.
  25. why not a simple hi-flow from GCG? tried and true and bolts straight up.
