  1. i was speaking to Tarek at Racepace about the GT3071R with 60mm turbine. he didn't know it existed (best i can figure) till i emailed him the old garrett catalog this turbo comes externally gated (ie same as a GT30R with a 71mm compressor vs 76mm compressor). he was going to get back to me but theoretically it should be no problem to shoehorn it into a VG housing. how well it would work is something i couldn't answer, presumably quite well. i think the GCG GT3071R is the internally gated version with the smaller turbine (56mm). discopotato has written a few posts on the cons of the cropped 56mm turbine if you have a look around. anyway good luck with your choice.
  2. presa i have been thinking about bolting one onto VG housing but as discopotato suggests get the 60mm turbine not the cropped 56mm.
  3. r33freely, fhrx is the right guy to ask. fhrx installed my system over 2 years ago and i would not hesitate to recommend him for his knowledge or workmanship.
  4. the Trust sidemount is the RSPL core (even better) 192x250x119. trust kit comes with a straight steel bracket and aluminium 90deg elbow, hoses, clamps and assorted nuts and bolts from factory. good price if it started off life as the cooler above. if you are in sydney, i'll take it if nobody else does.
  5. i'll take the head for $600 if you aren't going to show price (per forum rules)
  6. my order arrived today. shocks, swaybars, springs sub-frame kit. all items arrived on time as advised. thanks SK.
  7. the factory BOV should hold 42psi for all the reasons cubes posted. i'm sure that if you do a search (thru 4000 pages) that rev210 posted this fact?!?!
  8. SK i'll take the pair. i'll pm you.
  9. i used serenity and i can't recommend sound deadening enough. for $100-200 spend you get an absolute audible difference. if you spend an extra $100-200 on HU, sub, amp & splits you won't be able to pick any difference. i sound deadened both doors and under the rear seats. the doors are the very least you should do.
  10. randy you can squeeze a 10" sub with a small box under the parcel tray beside the battery if you want a sub and don't want to lose any boot space.
  11. Hi SK how much for the following items. front springs front and rear stabiliser bars front and rear bilsteins
  12. i think that refers to an 044. i don't think the 040 needs one.
  13. justin i just re-read the guide i think it has all been covered in there. see point 10 "10. you will notice that the pump won't fit directly onto the cradle without cutting or bending the existing metal fuel pipe, so i trimmed mine with a hacksaw and smoothed off any rough edges. "
  14. i have a link in the DIY section for a bosch 984, the differences will be minor.
  15. tap it anticlockwise with the timber and the mallet as described.
  16. if you have an R33 the fuel tank is under the metal plate with 4 screws on the right hand side of the battery.
  17. disco has another thread here at forced induction devoted to the existence of said combo. GT3071R link to thread
  18. dale the GT3071R discopotato has been referring to in other posts is the one with the 60mm turbine not the 56mm turbine. so perhaps that is worth adding to the comparison.
  19. i would have thought the 910 would run out of ability before 450horses.
  20. i have two standard castor rods in the garage. where are u located?
  21. plazmaman IC kits have pipework with this bend. as SK say it fits easily.
  22. go on predator get a bosch 984 or 044 you know you want to pull all that in tank stuff out and squeeze it all back in.
  23. i am happy to vouch for the plazmaman product. the 120 degree bend to the plenum and the quality of the core were some of the reasons for my choice.
