  1. what price for the frustration....err....satisfaction of doing it yourself. the offcuts can be pinned to the skin of the door itselt. i presume the paint is a great option but for $100 ish this works a treat. is your speaker mounted on mdf?? i guess that's what you were reading?!?
  2. hi dangerous i did both my doors and under the rear seats. i used serenity max but any quality sound deadener will do the trick. it is very do-able if you can get the door trims off the Ceffy (i have an R33 so i am unsure of the differences on removing the trim). if you go to www.fhrxstudios.com there are some pics of FHRX's installs if you do a bit of a search. (in "images of interest" in the 'images' page) it will take about 30mins-45 mins/door taking your time. i think i wrote a DIY guide somewhere here. a search might find it. if not i can take the door trim off and take some snaps and email them to you. this is the best improvement you can make for your sound system under $120.
  3. rick i have a DIY for a 984 which apart from a check valve the install is the same as an 044, driftkng has the link at the start of this post or it is in the list of member tutorials. rubber mounting helps dampen the noise, instructions are in the DIY or attached later.
  4. i had an R34 and now have a trust sidemount IC like Jay (on an R33 GTS-t). with 0.6mm aluminium for ducting, a piece of stainless mesh to vent into the wheel arch you will get good efficiency thru these types of coolers. IMO contrary to popular belief running huge FMIC's is not the only way to skin a cat.
  5. this appears to be correct RS500. (at least that is what the bosch site shows) personally, i installed the 984 rather than the 040 for the extra headroom. the 044 is a longer than the 984 and i presume is harder to fit in tank but for big HP there is no substitute.
  6. don't trust FHRX he has an S15...
  7. adjustable radius rods have to be on the list.
  8. as i understand it, you shouldn't need the adapters to turn the female fitting into a hose end that i needed on the 984, as i think the 040 has a hose end on the top end but you should need everything else listed.
  9. i used a 984 (i think these are used in porsche turbos ?!?). they are just smaller than the 044 lengthways, and should flow more than the 040 from the bosch pump link (driftkng has it on his for pumps 4 sale ad). if u want the most headroom then 044 is the way to go. the 984 makes some noise compared to the factory pump but i have written an install guide in the DIY section which may help explain it a way to minimise it. ps. did u buy that IC??
  10. hey this guy doesn't have a trader rating..... :bahaha: (rather than whoring the thread further, yes, i know it is JP)
  11. thanks for the feedback riceline.
  12. fuel filter is worth doing.
  13. decided to go back in and rubber mount the pump. there has been a slight hum since installation. the more i heard it the more it shitted me. easier getting in second time around. i used some small diameter fuel line and installed it between the cradle and the pump and between the clamp and the pump. stuffed it all back in, which was an even tighter fit with the rubber. definitely quieter for the effort.
  14. scrap the pod, buy a decent panel filter and add an exhaust cam gear for $200ish (15kw cheap and easy). suspension mods such as whiteline kit.
  15. the IC should come with a small bracket that bolts to the rail, the 90 elbow, the rubber/silicon hose (AFAIK it is not a reducer and is rubber) and the various bolts and nuts. the IC bolts straight up to an R33 with a bit of fussing around. ducting the bugger takes a bit time but worth the extra effort.
  16. ditto, price for commander??
  17. new cams next?? go on, you know you want em...
  18. if they are making cheap knock-offs in china for $200 that would do me. given the hybrid copies getting so cheap nowadays. i think the greddy IC's are made in china already (happy to be corrected).
  19. $220 for a trust sidemount is a bargain. who gave you that price?? was it 2nd hand??
  20. bosch motorsport pumps this is a link to the bosch motorsport pumps. part numbers should be here.
  21. i have a standard R33 S2 pump i can sell you in good working order.... ......but if you are going to remove your old pump then i would replace it with a nice new Bosch.
  22. if the scoop doesn't fit then modify it or spend an hour or two making something with 0.6mm aluminium. (aluminium shops occasionally let you scab an offcut or two). i have never heard of anyone having a rock thrown up......but why not mesh it?? takes no time to do and solves the problem.
  23. i have a thread in the tutorial section on how to change the fuel pump to a Bosch 984. the details on what you will find are there, i think predators post on the 910 pump install has some pics for the factory pump. bosch pump install
