  1. I am going to try to stay awake for this race, it all depends on the action on track.
  2. I am just betting the only part that doesn't get touched is the "fuel tank" with the missing 150ml.
  3. The core is uber thin on S2 stageas. In cold climates they would be adequate but in Australia they seem struggle. The 52mm one should be similar to install but bigger isn't always better so do some research before committing to buying one.
  4. RBR take the car out of parc ferme to make some setup changes methinks.
  5. I installed a Fenix 42mm radiator thru SAU NSW. They are a well made generic looking radiator. There was some trimming of the shroud required. I would leave the clutch fan as it has been shown to be the best bet for controlling temperatures. The factory radiator is around 12mm thick so it is no wonder the car can overheat in Australia.
  6. Thanks Bob. The car remains Ms. Wolv's shopping trolley so it is unlikely to see the dragstrip. She will be stoked with the improvement off the line. The car has always had a very quick midrange but this touch up tune managed to pull all the ends together. Jez tipped more fuel in from peak torque and it like it a lot. Each degree of timing was making big jumps in power. The neo's seem pretty sensitive to using fuel to cool the cylinders compared to my R33. No doubt E85 would be brilliant with this engine but it is impractical in Sydney at this point in time both for availability, cost of changing injectors, ECU, flex fuel sensor and fuel pump. Changing to the manual image on Nistune sorted out some issues with throttle recovery and general smoothness which has been quite annoying for the last year or so.
  7. Plus Dan has been compromised in at least two races with mechanical issues either on the last lap or in the last few laps which has cost him points.
  8. Going to the back of the grid is a very harsh penalty but in this case I am prepared to look the other way.
  9. 1999 Stagea RS4S HKS 2835ProS Nismo 480cc injectors Plazmaman FMIC (turnflow) 3" Straight through exhaust with mid muffler and massive rear can (very quiet car) 260 deg type B Poncams Greddy Profec B Nistune (car has run with auto base image for around 2 years finally figured out that it was supplied incorrectly and just re-imaged) Tidy up tune with Jez to check what if any WOT mapping changes were needed after installing the manual image. It is anyones guess what Nistune is doing under the surface. Plus I wanted to work more on getting the car off the line. The Stagea bogs down quite easily unless you give it the beans off the line. Changes made to very low load fueling and VCT has sorted out these issues.

  11. 'cept Chin scores some points and doesn't lose the back end of his car every chance he gets.
  12. Just back from DVS-JEZ after tidying up the tune with the manual image. Great job by Jez sorting out all of the issues with the fat slug. The drivability off the line is so much better with a few changes to the variable cam timing and a few tweaks with fuel and timing just off idle. Found a some more power by going a richer in the midrange to top end. It liked the extra cooling and made some solid power gains with a few more degrees timing.
  13. The powerfc has been locked by the last tuner to stop any changes being made to the tune. Find someone with a datalogit and they can uncheck the boxes and you will be able to see those settings.
  14. well..........
  15. PFC is locked.
  16. ATTESA won't be like the difference in the rolling diameter of your front/rear tyres. Ideally you want to change all four.
  17. All went smoothly enough car has new fluids, plugs etc ready for some dyno time on Saturday. Big thanks to MRC for removing the Nistune and flashing the manual image back onto the board. Mark was kind enough to show me the full procedure from de-soldering and bridging the board to put the board into the correct mode to reprogram and then the reverse.
  18. Metal can't collapse.
  19. Stagea is going on the hoist tomorrow (thanks to Andrew at ASR Automotive in Castle Hill for making some room for me to enjoy my day off) for a wheel rotation, plugs, oil + filter, fuel filter and drop the front driveshaft. Meanwhile the ECU is coming out while the Nistune is reflashed with a manual image...thanks to the original supplier I have an auto image and it is anyone's guess whether that has been causing some issues with boost cut, throttle recovery, cold/hot start and few other niggles?? Then Saturday up to DVS-JEZ's dyno for a bit of a check of the tune. While up there I will try a different CAS, drop exhaust and play around with a few settings.
  20. No booby in Abu Dhabi.
  21. I don't think you could do any more than you did Stao. Clearly there were issues with that whole episode that went far beyond turbo choice.
  22. Change your name to "Royjneev", tell them you are from India and you should be a shot of a superlicence.
  23. Find one of the lilcrash threads..... .....no maybe not.
  24. Karthikeyan being asked to drive slower. They have the right man in the drivers seat.
  25. Air quality looks good in India.
