If the OP was driving a stock RB26 with twins yeah I would consider what you are saying as a real risk. Since we are talking RB25 then you are massively overstating the risk. Ceramic turbine dust doesn't seem to revert up the runners of the 25's unlike the 26's.

Drive it till it lets go. I reckon there is little chance that the oil in the intake is related to the health of the turbo. If it ever lets go at stock boost (which is unlikely), install second hand turbo. Save money...win.

The throttle recovery is about 1800rpm with an auto Stagea image. Unless there has been a revision on Nistune that allows you to modify this setting it seems to be pretty much set in stone with this image. I have been supplied with the wrong image for the Stagea and haven't gotten around to removing the board and getting it reflashed to the manual image. I would love to lower the throttle recovery to about 1500rpm...and get rid of a couple of error codes.

Either will idle with Nistune. I am unsure what issues your tuner thinks will occur using Nistune. There is a slight lump at idle with the type B's.

The lack of testing is allowing some drivers to continue long past their use by date.
