  1. Do we have any slow motion footage of the incidents? Did he leave 1 car width after all? It sure didn't look like it at normal speed.
  2. I disagree, Nico left at least another 5-6 metres to the nearest wall.
  3. Location would help.
  4. I bet you did it by the book so there should be few issues. I installed a Bosch 984 years ago using the factory sock and it has been perfect but I would still choose a different pump today.
  5. 040 is the last pump I would choose in this day and age. A real walbro, deatchswerks, nismo are all easier and will do the job easily.
  6. The series one stageas run the 21U so you are quite correct. The S2's use neo engines and OP6 housings.
  7. No. The OP6 housing is the same as any other OP6 housing.
  8. Another disappointing "walk of"
  9. Great drive by Di Resta.
  10. I was kinda thinking he would close the gap down to be in range with a couple to go.
  11. He is managing his tyres to have a crack 2 laps out.
  12. small golf clap for McLaren in the pits.
  13. Chin on track to keep a lock on 4th place finishes.
  14. They are easy to repair even for a nuff nuff like me. Soldering iron and stanley knife required.
  15. Compressor is maxed out is the explanation. You both made similar numbers on similar dynos with different AR turbine housings. Dyno variation is also a factor, your original number from the hi-flow you had were on the high side due to calibration issues of the dyno if memory serves so your peak number with the 1.06 Tial housing was pretty much right on the money imo on a DD dyno. Mick's car is one of the best sorted RB's and without doubt it is the best one I have driven but I would bet my left nut he would have more power and earlier with a GT3076 on his car with E85. ps. mine showed clear signs of restriction on the dyno on 98 ron, maxing out at 290ish.
  16. I would suggest swapping the BKR for BPR7ES and see if it will take more timing. The BKR's were an issue last time on the dyno .
  17. If you drive a car with a GT-RS, 2835ProS and GT3076 you will understand what a smaller turbine brings to drivability vs peak hp number. I am guessing that an SS1PU is going to deliver instant response on the street vs a larger throttle input to get the car to move.
  18. Maybe he needs to have a brain injury like Molly Meldrum to cure himself?? Still cheering the Chin on from the clean side of the track. Hook it up, fake to the inside and drive it around the outside of the Biebster into the first turn.
  19. Scott this just isn't quite right on two points. There have been several versions of turbos with different trim 71mm compressors and various turbines from 53mm to 56mm to 60mm turbines. (GT-RS, 2835, 3071wg, 3071 etc etc) Mick's GTX3071 made less power everywhere than my GT3076 with the same tuner on 98 ron. Once Mick went to E85 the car was much more lively and definitely one of the nicest RB25 you would ever hope to drive (and it is a better drive than mine) however E85 would also give a similar leap in performance from my car if I cbf using it. I do not believe the GTX is a step up in this frame.
  20. thread link to GT-t brakes in FS section. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/398188-r34-gt-t-brakes/
  21. Get your mate to make you bellmouth dump with a nice transition back to 3" and enjoy making a few more kw's. Saves time and works better on most internally gated turbos.
  22. Massa for 14th
  23. It passed the tests so it was magic.
  24. I would go for a GT3076 and keep the $400 in the pocket.
  25. I think the GTX 76mm compressor will run out of puff before 400rwkw given that the GTX 71mm seems to be all over at 330ish (DD dyno + E85).
