  1. It will feel like 3mths and it's dusty and shitty there. As soon as we suck all the oil outta there no one will ever go back.
  2. x2 bad tuning kills em. If you get det, in-cylinder pressures might go from 1000psi to 2000-2500psi suddenly, if this happens BTDC then Mr Rod has huge stresses on it. As long as you make sure that peak cylinder pressures are reached 8-20 deg ATDC you make best power, so if the tuner doesn't get too cute with advancing things beyond the ability of the fuel to produce a smooth flame front then there is no reason you can't stuff more boost in.
  3. How many are staying in the Crown Promenade? 4 Grandstands Brabham Package as suggested here at SAU for myself and a mate.
  4. streettotrack might be worth contacting.
  5. 0.63 IW housings can be an issue with boost control not the case with 0.82 Aftermarket bellmouth dumps are available for these.
  6. Who is going to the AGP in Melbourne?
  7. Who is going to Melbourne?
  8. We expect around 14L/100km from the fat slug around town with 11L/100km on the highway but a reasonably modified stagea. My R33 gets around 12-12.5L/100km around town with +280rwkw.
  9. If it doesn't grenade itself any time soon it is the bargain of the year.
  10. Read commander and adjust the TPS voltage until you have the correct value. Anywhere between 0.25v to .45v should be fine as far as I know.
  11. You physically checked it already?
  12. Leaks can be anywhere from split hoses, loose clamps, plenum gaskets.
  13. It shows the value of smoke testing every time before it goes on a dyno.
  14. I need to take a shit
  15. Discopotato03 also has an EVO6 from memory.
  16. The boost drop may be related to the turbine housing size. I think it is worthwhile trying different things to get it to hold flat, such as using the EBC but sometimes trying to eke out the last 5% costs more money than it is worth...having done it a number of times....lol Personally I would have left the actuator alone and had the car tuned with it as supplied but that is water under the bridge now.
  17. Peak power is about right for that turbo (isn't it??), AFR's around 12 is reasonable, possibly could fatten it up around peak torque but it doesn't look like you have major issues. How does it drive?
  18. I am pretty sure the 0.63 GT35 turbine flows pretty similarly to a GT30 0.82 so it should be pretty similar. I had a GT3040 and it made 18psi by 3900 so it should be there or thereabouts.
  19. I say go for it. I want to know how it ends up.
  20. New turbo or E85 + re-tune.
  21. Mick's car drives really nicely. It delivers in a very linear fashion through to redline. I feel like there should be more urge at 3000-4000rpm when you open the throttle which is surprising given the 71mm compressor, however it is very subjective (using the arse dyno) but my 3076 feels a little stronger here. Nevertheless it is very impressive and will have a very very fat midrange once it has more boost crammed in. The E85 has improved this car everywhere IMO. The drivability of Mick's car is very impressive which is a credit to the tuner and the setup generally. Dale I think it will go to about 335ish. I'd also like to thank Mick for blowing a hose on my car and then fretting that he had done some damage....lol.
  22. Another 7psi and we will see what the billet wheels can do.
  23. As long the it is a genuine Walbro and it gets 14volts they are fine unless you start leaning on them really hard as Scotty says. For a stock turbo any pump will be fine.
  24. Nah Ash, you get out your stanley knife and $10 soldering iron and go to the SAU DIY section, grab a beer, read up and settle in to bodge it up.
