Press Release 22nd May 2013: The Autofest Performance Car Festivals are proud to announce the news of Melbourne in coming part of the Annual Event Series with this iconic venue being the “Melbourne Showgrounds” from February 8th and 9th 2014. To be known as the “Melbourne Performance Showdown” this event will cover all aspects of the Australian Performance Car Scene with Trader information booths from some of the most Recognised names within the industry to High Perfo...rmance events such as the side by side Action of the Heads Go To Whoa event and lets see who does really does have Melbourne's most Powerful car when its proved on the onsite Dyno Comp. Other events will include the Mayhem that is the Mighty Burnout Competition as well as the judging of the Streetcar and Showcar Supreme. Melbourne has been missing a true Performance Car Event for far too long and the Autofest Crew have searched high and low to find such a location and were fortunate to meet with the Melbourne Showgrounds Management and after much deliberation an agreement between the two parties for this event to be staged was reached. This season also marks our 21st year celebrations of the Shepparton Springnats as well as the 36th year celebrations of Australia's longest running Street Machine event the Mount Gambier Autofest & Show N Shine add to this the 3rd running of the ever expanding Bathurst Autofest the 2013/2014 Autofest Season is shaping up to be the best ever. Information update Valvoline Autofest Series: Hi All, details for the 2012-2013 Autofest season. First thing most will notice is the change in pricing structure of the entry fees for each event, this has been done so that it is now up to the Entrant too decide what he or she wants to pay for rather than us the organisers to determine whether it be an event shirt or buddy passes so in other words you only get what you want to pay for. As of August 1st Autofest Entrants will be able to fill in, pay and send Autofest Entry Forms online at www.autofest.com.au without the need to print out or posting them in that has been the norm for the last 20 years. This feature has taken some time to perfect and we have worked with the best to ensure that the transfer of your hard earned is done so safely and confidentially. Also new for 2012-2013 is the way the Burnout event winners and place getters will be awarded and below is a sample of what we will be trialling this season and once successful this will be the way we will award all of our Burnout comps in the future.
