  1. VLOOKUP is used to look up a value in the leftmost column of a table, then returns a value from the same row. So, your formula is looking for a value (whatever is in B63 of the current sheet, eg 'fred') in the leftmost column of the area between A4 and S93 on the sheet named 'main sheet' in the file '26_261204.xls'. When it finds 'fred' in this column, it returns the value in column 19 (ie column S) of that row. The 'FALSE' at the end specifies that it must be an EXACT match, rather than an approximate one.
  2. The dollar sign before a part of the cell reference makes that part of the reference static, ie if you move/change the cell containing the formula, that part of the formula isn't modified. If you have $A5, then copy it one cell down and right, the ref will change to $A6 - there is no $ sign in front of the row number, so it's allowed to change. Doing the same thing with A$5 will allow the A to change, so it'll change to B$5. I'm not the best at explaining things, but if you want to email the document to me I'm happy to look at it
  3. 5 new jobs eh? YOu *do* realise that I rewrote half of the helpdesk system... ? Oh gee, what's that, why is it assigning you every job in the system?? Make it stop! Noooooo!!!
  4. He surfs SAU and occasionally pops into the helpdesk system and adds time to jobs to make it look like he's working There's a job here with 6255 mins on it... SUUUUUURE mate, sure, 6.255 more like it
  5. Damn this thing is quick!!! Unfortunately it still sounds like a tin of farts though
  6. Revhead

    Mod plate ?

Make one. Use plastic, or perspex, or stainless, or whatever you want, it just has to be enclosed. Just don't forget to leave a bit for the air to actually get in
  7. Under her username
  8. Haha why am I not surprised? Sounds like fun... actually a friend of mine has gone overseas, she's been all over the place for nearly a year so far. She went to England for a bit, then went to Thailand, Indonesia, and was in Laos for about three months teaching kids how to read... she left there about three weeks ago and went to England again via Indonesia iirc, left just in time too.
  9. Yeah looks that way. So you're there for good then I take it? What prompted the move?
  10. Till I get to go home from work... Long time no see mate, how's things?

  13. I just checked, fwiw I get the permission denied error when I click on Paul's link. Dunno whether it's something I should see or not, but it might help narrow down the problem if it is. Re the IP, I could just do this to you...
  14. Yet another example of how opinions can differ between different people! Personally I think the R33 looks anything but shit, as I said I much prefer it to the R32, and I know for a fact that I am not alone. To me the R32 still looks nice, but in an "old school" way - IMO it does look dated. I do really like them, I just don't put them in the same league as the later models. It seems that those passionate about the 32s are equally passionate about how much they dislike the R33. Jealousy perhaps? Haha just stirring, but seriously, what looks good to you others might find crap, and vice versa. If everyone liked the same things, things would get mighty boring very quickly. Build a bridge.
  15. OK I'll add my 2c here. R34 first, R33 second, and R32 sitting last. Why? R34 GTR - need I say more? R33 GTR - Lowered with a decent set of wheels they look horny. Newer than R32, more comfortable (remember that they *are* road cars). More spacious and slightly larger, but weighs stuff all more than an R32. Some are getting a bit on the oldish side but the later models are still fairly fresh. IMO far better looking than an R32 as well. R32 GTR - The legend, but they're getting old and the shape has aged - gracefully (they do look tough, just like any GTR), but they have, nonetheless, aged. Also long in the tooth generally means the car will be more worn, and from an ownership point of view (rather than a "damn that's a nice car" viewpoint), that can be bad news. And, personal preference, I much prefer the look of the R33 and especially R34, they're more modern. No doubt the 32 guys disagree but I don't give a stuff
  16. I so want this game :drooling: Do they let you put turbo/blower kits on NA cars? It was really annoying in GT3 how, for example, you couldn't turbo the Viper Also are the mods a little more realistic? In other words, can you still make 800-odd hp just by whacking on a huge turbo, despite the fact that you've done no internal/cam/head work, and you're still running the stock intercooler and ECU?
  17. Working Dunno about the rest of the weekend though. I don't think that far ahead
  18. I'm working on repackaging MSIs at the moment, and for the first time I actually read the usual crap that's on the screen... and one of the messages is "Discover is busy working on your package". And I didn't even notice!!
