  1. Bugger! (See what I did there?) I hope the reports of alcohol being involved aren't true, apart from anything else it will nullify insurance... either way, I hope it's all sorted relatively painlessly for all involved. I've had to deal with insurance and repairers and whatnot a few times now (none at fault thankfully) and it can be a pretty stressful time.
  2. He doesn't advertise a street address (it's also his house) but if you pick anywhere in Alexandra Hills it should give you a rough indication of distance.

    Photoshoot ?

wtf guys, they don't all have to be stick insects... a bit of respect wouldn't go astray
  4. Yes mate, if you didn't click the link you'll be right. A little bit more info from an IPB announcement: So we're certainly not the only ones "lucky" enough to be targeted, hooray! If the account registrations are indeed being completed by people then it's extremely difficult for any automated system to detect them as a spam account until they've already tried to deliver their payload (and to detect THAT the software has to include the functionality). As always, your best bet is to keep your eyes open (a lot of spam accounts will have nonsensical names, they'll usually have a registration date within the last week, etc) and, most importantly, don't click any links you are uncertain about. I hate spam as much as anyone, but unfortunately it's a fact of life these days - just delete it and move on
  5. Sorted Done!Dirt, want yours changed back too?
  6. Moved to the classifieds
  7. Spotted a white R35 GTR on Vulture St in West End. Can't tell you plates because it wasn't wearing any, not even a trade plate lol Damn they have some presence on the road!
  8. Taken mate, sorry!Edit: actually on closer inspection, it's taken by you, lol. If you're happy for me to do so I can rename the existing 'sunnycoast' account to 'sunnycoast-old' then go ahead with your name change
  9. I had the same problem with my old S1, except that it would go up but not down. Annoying, but at least I could still drive my car around and leave it parked, unlike your situation! Anyway there's a black box in the door that deals with the auto up/down. In mine there was a dry solder joint in that box. If you're confident you know what you're doing, pull the box apart and look for a bad connection at the base of one of the relays, and fix it with soldering iron and a bit of extra solder if required. A mate of mine sorted this out for me in 2002 or something, and it has never played up since.
  10. You lot are just spoiled with the density of awesome food joints, I couldn't believe it when I was in Melbourne. I saw probably a dozen gourmet pizza shops on a short walk along the main drag in Kew, lol Anyway I don't go for chicken burgers much so I can't really tell you where is and isn't good for them, but there are some decent food places around without having to go to a "proper" restaurant. Thai Ginger at North Lakes rocks the shit, and is well worth the drive even if you're not in the area. In my opinion it beats the Royal Thai Orchid so hard that Chris Brown would be proud. At Chermside shopping centre there's a little Indian place in one of the food courts, the quality of the food is surprisingly good and they only seem to use chicken breast in their chicken dishes. If I go there I normally grab the Tikka Masala. Nandos is always a winner, there's quite a few around and there seems to be new ones popping up every now and then. There's a handful of good places in and around Park Rd in Milton, go for a look and poke your head into a few. Sizzling Mongolian at St Lucia/Toowong is very nice, quite a different experience too. There are some nice places in West End too, but also some not-so-great ones that try to hitch a ride with the eyeroll-inducing self-proclaimed "chic" status of the suburb. There are still some gems though, I can't remember its name but there's a little sandwich bar about half-way along Montague Rd that makes really good ham and salad sandwiches. There's a cafe not too far from there which I avoid, it's exxy and the food quality varies quite a lot. A bit further up the road there's another sandwich bar (done up to look like a cottage I think) that does decent sandwiches too. If you want a pub meal there's plenty around, the Morrison at the Gabba isn't bad, the Broadway's $10 cook-your-own steaks are good and their burgers are top notch. The Irish pub at Kallangur puts on a good feed, the Brekky Creek Hotel, the Norman... there are plenty around.

  16. I doubt they're still on it but what were the number plates? On the off chance they're stupid enough to drive around with them on (or maybe even on another car) it might help. Will keep an eye out on the north side of Brisbane for you. Even if it's insured, you can't get back the time and effort you've put in. I'd be surprised if it surfaces but you never know, good luck with it!
  17. CBF reading this whole thread but there's one bit in particular I have to disagree with... Get farked, some of the hottest women in the universe are Asian. If you reckon they're ugly, send em my way!!!
