  1. Pick the Commodore driver
  2. If it's small enough you could use someone like The Touchup Guys. A few people here at work have used them and they've been pretty good apparently
  3. I'm going to assume you meant gravel roads on private property... If you're willing to put your car on a dirt road there's a rally circuit next door to QR (between the go karts and QR). I haven't been out there in yonks though so I don't know who runs it any more. There are skidpan days held in Gympie every now and then, and track days at QR are held regularly, both for time attack and drift, and the drags are on frequently. Mt Cotton has a skidpan, though the residents who moved in near it have all but killed it with their stupidity/selfishness - all the more reason to take out your silencer and use the hillclimb circuit next door! There's even the skid/drift days at Archerfield, or the circuit and 1/8th mile drags at Morgan Park if you don't mind a nice scenic drive to get there. If you look around there are a few places available, the numbers are dwindling and we're having to travel further out of the city thanks to people moving in nearby and having a teary about the noise but if you look around they are available. And having to travel to get to an event just means there's a cruise to and from it
  4. This car needs a new home, I'm in the process of signing the paperwork for the new one...
  5. Cruised with a black R34 with black-on-yellow NSW plates (AExxxx) up the Gateway and onto the Bruce until we took our turnoff, they gave us a flash of the hazards as we took the offramp. Looked like a nice clean ride mate.
  6. In case you haven't already found it, there's a 5 page thread here: Cant edit posts Come on guys, at least browse the list of threads on the first page of this subforum before posting a bug report!
  7. Top right - options, display mode, standard. Same issue as in these threads: Topic Replies Display As A List? Topic Posts Not Displaying, List Only
  8. The perfect daily driver! Want to keep your Skyline safely locked up at home? Sick of your 1000kw monster's fuel bills and grabby clutch in heavy traffic? If you're looking for a small car that is good on fuel, has enough poke to get it where you need it, handles well and is a notch above the usual Hyundai and Kia 'quality', you can't go past this! When we bought it we had looked around for weeks trying to find a nice tidy example. This one was a clear standout. Straight, clean, original, we even got them to put it up on the hoist so my brother (a mechanic) could check underneath. We could not fault it. It mainly does the daily commute between work and home, which is basically Brisbane CBD-northside and back, so mostly peak hour town driving with a little bit of highway. It returns 9-10L/100km consistently, even with the occasional spurt to get around someone, and with the crappy traffic that Gympie Rd throws at us every single day. Out on the highway it's geared a bit short (3000rpm @ 100km/h) but still gives somewhere around 7-8L/100km. Basic specs: 1998 model Mazda 323 Astina, Shades ~5 months rego 4 door hatchback. The last of the hardtop pillarless shape! 5 seats (5th seat is probably a bit of a squeeze for adults) 1.8L 4cyl 5 speed manual 130,000km Soft bolstered seats (no bench seats here!) Factory 5-spoke alloys Near-new tyres, heaps of tread Tinted windows (not dark but cuts out UV) Power windows Power steering Aircon Driver's airbag Regularly serviced Why am I selling it if it's so great? Simple really, I'm getting a lease vehicle through work because the option has recently become available - I'm upgrading. If that wasn't the case I would be keeping this thing because it does exactly what we bought it for so well. If you're interested please contact me via PM or by posting in this thread, or on <removed>. I'm asking $8,750 ono, which IMHO is a bargain for this car. The car is on the north side of Brisbane. I'm not interested in shipping it unless it's definitely worth my while, I'd prefer to sell it to someone who will drive it away. Cheers Marc Edit: This car is now advertised on Car Sales.

  10. Oh btw, you're new/haven't been around in a while by the looks of it so you may not be aware, but you can't currently edit your posts if they're older than 2 hours. There's a thread in the Feedback section about it if you're wondering who/what/when/where/why. If you need to edit your main post, use the 'report' button below your own post and put the changes you need in there. If you need to make heaps of changes (updating attendee lists for example) then we'd appreciate if you could do a bunch of them at once, rather than sending a request for each individual change, just makes it that little bit easier for us Good luck with your event!
  11. SCC is given a fair bit of leeway, and has the blessing of the forum admins and mods to be run as-is. Let it be. Oh and this thread should be in Events, so off it goes! Please also note that you should include the date in the thread title, I've taken care of it for this thread but please keep it in mind for future threads.
  12. We turned up just as everyone was packing up, around 1.30 or 2.00 I think it was. Couldn't get there any sooner unfortunately, lucky I'm only a few kays up the road lol Looks like I missed a good day, nice shots Zennon
  13. Fixed your sig Dave
  14. Sure can Haha You're welcome to PM the user (which should send an email notification) or use the forum's built-in emailing function, if MRR33 hasn't changed his email address you might be able to contact him that way.
  15. Heh no probs, moved to Vic for you
  16. I'm sorry mate but people here will tear you to shreds for that kind of attitude. A license doesn't necessarily certify you as a "good" driver (there are enough shithouse drivers with licenses to prove that point!) though as I understand it's intended to prove that you've met the Govt's minimum standards for driving ability and knowledge of the road rules. It's also worth remembering that if your car is insured but you crash it while unlicensed, your insurance is void. The Government provides the infrastructure (roads, bridges, signage, lights etc) on which vehicles can travel. In much the same way that you can legally determine who can and can't enter your property, the Government owns the infrastructure and so can determine who can use it, and under what conditions. Driving on public roads truly is a privilege, rather than a right. Best of luck in finding your car mate, but I strongly suggest you reconsider your attitude to holding a license.
  17. Well I can only think of two ways to prove him right or wrong on that one, and at least one of them I wouldn't suggest lol
  18. Damn you guys get ripped on insurance these days!! Full comp on my old 33 (turbo, exhaust but otherwise stock at the time) cost me $750 or so from memory, when I was 20. That was a while ago though *cry*
