  1. All done! Your name on the forums changes but the rest of your account stays the same, including your email address, so you will get notifications the same as you currently do. Your PMs are untouched, they're not deleted when your name is changed. In answer to your question, if someone tries to send you a PM by typing in your old user name or trying to find it in the list, your old user name won't exist any more - you won't be able to receive any PMs unless they send the message to you using your NEW user name. A bit like changing your phone number - you're still you, and people can still contact you, but they need to know your new number
  2. It would explain the choice in car colour jokes
  3. +11ty http://www.audioexpress.com.au
  4. Yeah that's been done before and led to a bunch of headaches, like who goes on the list? Do crap workshops get taken off? What defines a crap workshop? Is the list implying endorsement? All that kind of stuff. That said it was raised again not too long ago in another state so it might be worth revisiting for Qld as well
  5. Ooh nasty Sounds like you have some time behind the wheel to catch up on
  6. Dunno, I'm using FF right now without an issue Are you at work and need to go through a proxy server by any chance?
  7. Sorry guys, have been out of action for a bit All done!Grats on the upgrade Nene
  8. According to another thread, Prankeh currently has the new server up and running alongside the old one, with both pointing to the new database. I'd hazard a guess and say that if you're experiencing speed issues, you're connecting via the old web server. If you're on Windows, try this command at a DOS prompt: ipconfig /flushdns. If that doesn't solve it (or if you're running an OS that doesn't cache DNS, like Linux) you'll just have to wait until your ISP's name servers are updated.
  9. Nice! Details!!!
  10. Woot Hi Gordo
  11. I think you should write a letter to your local newspaper expressing your dissatisfaction with the situation, and how it's affected your ability to pick up your pension cheque, which is a disgrace in itself given how long you were in the workforce supporting this country and you even fought in two wars dammit
  12. Pssshh?
  13. I'll change the date in the title and move this into the Events section for you
  14. Heh thanks Adam I need this gone guys! Make an offer! My brother is a towie so I can possibly help to organise cheap towing for the buyer too
  15. Yeah it's fairly crap. Unfortunately they have the support of the majority, who watch way too much Today Tonight/ACA and honestly believe that hoons are an enormous problem and that anyone who doesn't drive a white Camry (probably at 20 under, in the right lane...) is a hoon, and that they should be taken off the roads without mercy, yada yada yada If you try to explain that a person who gets their car confiscated for chirping over a white line is completely different to doing donuts in a preschool playground during little lunch, then you're tarred with the same brush and instantly lose all credibility... The worst bit is that hooning sells! Until there's something else that gets as much of a public response, don't expect hoon stories to go away. You can always tell when there's a lull in the real news, out come the old faithfuls - hoons, how pensioners are poor, downtrodden and forgotten by society despite their years of loyal service, teenagers doing things that never would have happened back in the day, how to save money at the shops... picking up a pattern?
  16. OMG it uses Ranga parts, it's gonna blow!!! Nah good stuff mate, will be keen to see how it performs
  17. Water pump seal? Didn't even know it was busted! But yeah water pump issues can be evil, if it's a decent leak don't drive it anywhere, you most likely won't get any warning on the temperature gauge until it's already done some damage. Where's the car atm? Ie at your house in Caboolture, or at a workshop, or somewhere else? If you trust people to come to your house (and that's a lot of trust, but it's your call) that might be the best way to do it, that way if it does turn out to be a big problem you don't have far to go. Don't post your address in here obviously though lol. Keep it to PM
  18. Have to take Karen to the doctors tonight, will see you at Cannon Hill if the traffic lets us get there!! Haha I'll be in the envy-inspiring Mazdarati. So bring what you want, you'll have at least one person to look more impressive than
  19. Does the engine change revs (ie does it sound like the revs match the tacho?) or is the tacho just doing its own thing? If it sounds like the engine is revving when the tacho says it is, it's most likely not a problem with the tacho. Try this. Out on the highway, drop to 90km/h or so. Put it in 4th and nail it. If the engine picks up a heap of revs (ignore the tacho, you should be able to hear the engine) you most likely have clutch problems. If it doesn't slip, you either have something else wrong, or nothing's wrong and you're just worried about your baby If you're really worried about it, I live on the north side of Brissy and I'm happy to come for a drive with you. I'm no expert but I'm happy to look at it?
  20. Saw an R34 GT/GTT the other day with a GTR badge on the back. I lol'd
