  5. Heh yeah coming back from Karen's parents' place The car in front of us blocked Karen's view while we were stopped and she was asking "Who? Where? Behind us? *turns, looks around*" I had to dawdle off the lights so that the car in the turning lane didn't block our view
  6. Fixed
  7. Love the sound of the T51R, always have and probably always will As for being the quickest, I'm not sure about times but there was an R33 running a factory-capacity RB25, making 795rwhp getting around Brisbane, was built by Hardcore before they ceased operations and had NIS33 on the plates. Also, 40RCD (now TRY09) might be worth checking too, I don't know if it still runs an RB25 bottom end but last time I saw it, it was running some very decent times. It was definitely 2.5 litre when it was running mid 10's, and I'm fairly sure it was still 2.5 when it broke into the 9's too, but I don't know about now Best of luck
  8. My old 33 had 4/93 on the build plate
  9. Karen owns the car, but I drive it more than she does Saw you too, wasn't sure if you saw me wave or not, but I did
  10. That would imply he actually wears underpants.
  11. Karen and I took an M3 (just for you Daveo ) MPS for a drive a week or two ago, and I have to admit I was more than a little impressed. I was a lot more impressed than I expected to be actually. That said, FWD dynamics don't really do it for me, and it apparently has a stability control thing in it, so I deliberately botched a corner entry to test it and it happily understeered towards the side of the road lol. In the rest of the corners it seemed to hang on quite well though, maybe they've tried to make the stability control not too intrusive? Powering out of a corner was frustrating but something I could live with given the rest of the package. I thought the interior was fairly nice, the seats and pedal placement were good, the wheel is adjustable for reach and tilt and the dash is fairly easily readable. My only gripes were that some parts of the interior felt a bit cheap, and the clutch was really grabby, nearly as grabby as my old 5 puck brass button - it went from nothing to fully engaged in probably 10mm of pedal travel. This is fine if you're expecting to do a fair amount of track work or hard driving, but for a vehicle that I personally see as a quickish road car rather than something I'd be wanting to take to the track all the time, it's a bit annoying. Gordo, peak power to weight doesn't tell the whole story, these things make stupid amounts of torque from 3k up until nearly the redline. In gear they are really quite impressive
  12. I live in Toowong (not for from the Brisbane CBD), the roads around here are complete and utter shite, probably worse than the roads in Ipswich where I used to live. Obviously the roads are worse in the 33 (despite its suspension being not exactly drifter material), but even in my Cressida with stock luxo-barge suspension the bumps, ruts, corrugations and exposed/recessed covers for manholes or utilities are pretty bad. You can tell the locals because they know when to change lanes to avoid the dodgy bits of road Oh and oh driveways... ours is crap too! We're on the downhill side of the road, so the road hits our driveway at a fair angle, and they decided to make our driveway also head DOWN, in the opposite direction, to meet the road. I can understand that there needs to be some drainage, but a bit of cement with a pipe through it would have been nice, so I don't have to reverse out of my own driveway at a 60° angle in order to avoid ripping off the front bar
  13. Yeah two waves in one trip... I was shocked lol
  14. Fuel fillers See how they go through the boot lid? One's probably a breather, so that the tank doesn't pressurise when it's being filled.
  15. I think it's a bit rich to be calling people names when you haven't provided any details other than a number plate and that you got the bird. I sincerely doubt you were just driving along and someone with DBR33 on the plates gave you the finger out of the blue - there has to be more to it. What happened beforehand, and when/where was it? Did he cut you off, and give you the finger when you beeped? Could you have done something wrong, and been given the finger in retaliation? Or was it completely out of the blue?
  16. If it was DBR33 (silver series 2 R33?) I'd be questioning why he gave you the finger. A number of us know Dave very well and he would not do this kind of thing without a good reason.
  17. I can't find anyone registered on these forums that uses an email address or a name similar to the ones you've listed... sorry Any more info?
  18. Nitrous is for wimps *runs*
  19. That's ghey. You're still half a second over their cutoff, if they're really worried surely you could gear the blower down a bit or something?
  20. Nice video... a fitting tribute.
  21. Thread cleaned up. Please keep the shitfights for elsewhere, this thread in particular is not the place.
  22. As an announcement has been made at the top of the thread list referring to the thread in General... please use it for any further discussion on this sad topic
