  1. Spotted a gunmetal or silver series 1 R33 with really foggy headlight lenses last night around 7-ish, chick driver, in Cannon Hill, following so closely that I couldn't see the headlights... tailgating at night in the rain is bad, mmkay?
  2. Where was this? I usually sit within 10 km/h of the limit, and during peak hour it's hard to even keep that up. Was she trying to catch me or keep up? Edit: page to me
  3. Looks like a button?
  4. Multi-plate, 5-puck button, unsprung centre... that clutch is going to be a bitch in traffic lol! The pucks are pretty big though so might not be too bad, but geez dude, overkill! But yeah, with a new set of wheels it'll be looking sweet
  5. Holy crap... for a thread that was an obvious piss-take, it's gotten awfully serious in here.
  6. Was posting a reply myself, but Karen has covered it nicely We'd happily have free membership if we could, but I'm sure many people don't realise the costs involved in running a club.
  7. I have a Cressida that I could modify to be as fast as a wine red R33 GTS25t with GTR wing... does that make it one? Also, can I bring along a make/model of car that is completely at odds with the thread title?
  8. You all have Cressida envy, I can tell I have a couple of mates with R32s (they haven't upgraded to an R33 yet ), I'll let them know this might be on and see what they reckon.
  9. A little birdie told me they spotted a grey R32 GTR (xxx IYQ) in Toowong about 5 minutes ago
  10. Didn't know him personally, but from one enthusiast to another - rest well mate.
  11. I have no idea whether it's Jay's birthday or not either - if it is, happy birthday you old codger, you're older than me now woo If not, well, you can bugger off until it IS your birthday lol
  12. I just hope it remains a racetrack that's open for public events - with Darlington Park closing down, and reduced availability of - and noise restrictions at - Mt Cotton, the number of decent tracks nearby is getting pretty low. It's either QR (which is good but a bit boring in a car), Warwick (150-200km from Brisbane...) or Stanthorpe (another 30 mins). I'm pretty sure there's one in Gympie but that's a good couple of hours away, not sure about any others. Also Warwick's and Stanthorpe's tracks, unless you get the full track at Warwick rather than one of the halves, isn't really long enough to stretch the legs of a bike bigger than a 250. If Lakeside closes down or has silly restrictions (or moronic local residents!) imposed on it like Mt Cotton it'll be another slap in the face for the "take it off the street" argument. I've driven at Lakeside before and it's a nice technical track, a bit twisty to wind out a decent bike but fun on a small bike or in a car. If developers are reading this, please PLEASE develop it as a race track that's open to track days and other events!
  13. Spotted a gunmetal 32 GTS-t this morning on the M1 heading outbound about 6.45am. Didn't get plates as I got caught behind some right lane dawdlers... I'm sure they are multiplying. Also saw a red S2 R33 this morning on the way to work, couldn't see the plates from the inside the car
  14. Best of luck dude, you'll be missed here but we all know you're making the right decision. I think I love you.
  15. Nice Have seen the car out and about on the road a few times, looks good! Keep us posted
  16. Cool, welcome to the club
  17. Saw a silver R32 GTSt heading north in the M1 about 5.30pm yesterday afternoon... gave him a wave but he might not have seen it as I think the pillar might have been in the way. Also followed a black R33 sedan, lowered with stock rims, didn't get a wave but I kept spotting him nearly all the way into the city.

    Coming 2 Qld

Dalby has some nice straight long flat roads leading out to some of the smaller, more western towns... I lived there for a few months (was sent out for work) - had to service the hospitals in Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Taroom, Tara, Jandowae while based in Dalby with regular trips to Roma, Warwick and Charleville districts. Driving from one place to another is incredibly boring, so get cruise control if you don't want to get booked. After a while you'll probably notice that a 2 hour trip is nothing, and a drive from Toowoomba to Ipswich is actually pretty good (and feels like about 10 minutes) because there's more than dirt and wheat to look at. Although it is a growing town, don't be surprised if you're bored out of your brain as there's not much to do. It's been a couple of years since I've been there, but at the time the centre of town was OK with at least one nice cafe, and there were a number of pubs that have cheap counter meals with HUGE steaks! The Bunya Mountains are fairly close by too so a drive up there might be on the cards. Damn fine advice... a PS2 was the only thing that stopped me from going completely insane... and I wasn't there for that long!
  19. Hi Pete!! Cresta might have a set of skirts you'll like
  20. Hate to rain on your parade but I'll be very surprised if anyone will swap you their GTR wing (especially without a cash adjustment) for your S2 wing. Grats if you do though
  21. My Dad is a mechanic with about 30 years experience, and has a home-based workshop, and he's a wheels/tyres/suspension expert. He did heaps of work on my R33 so isn't afraid of newer stuff either, and is about as honest/ethical as you're likely to find Cosmos Mechanical (07) 3281 6575 Mention Skylines Australia and that Marc sent you Related note: Skylines Australia Qld has sponsors including workshops, a tyre store, brake specialists etc, and conducts events that will allow you to enjoy your car to its potential. Details in the Queensland subforum on these boards /shameless plug
  22. Cool, look forward to pics! I still get to drive my old car occasionally as I sold it to my sister in law's brother I miss it badly, I went from 260-odd rwkw to a stocko Cressida... I'll see if he's interested in coming along, he works strange shifts so it might not suit but I'll pass it on anyway.
  23. Whoever that quote comes from needs a huge smack in the head from reality.
  24. Good luck guys, I'm originally from Ippy (and my old R33 lives at Brassall with its new owner ) but live closer to the coast now, post up pics when you get back! Might even recognise some of your cars, I head back every now and then as some of my family still live there.
