  1. Emailed Matt (because the SAU PM system isn't working for me) on the 29th Nov but haven't heard back yet. Would like one of these.
  2. Agree tho' what about "just any old lancer" then, providing it's black
  3. I'll have one, which month has the EVO on it? JK JK Can they be picked up at the agm?
  4. Wednesday is dinner at my wifes mothers place So I'll see you all there then, tho' I'd much rather go to dinner.
  5. Woh, you guys get a choice! I can switch my lights on
  6. If they even get it up on their web site. They didn't for this last round. Sure as hell they won't email past competitors to let them know about it. Apparently they have preferred list who get in first, or even last, before the general public get a look in.
  7. Last HH I did was with FFCC with 35 entries so hopefully there won't be 100 cars. In any event it's only 1-1/2 kours away so rather than doing nothing in Dec I'll at least let the EVO out for a run :-) I'll let you all know how it goes.
  8. There is another HH on with the Gippsland car club on the 3rd Dec http://www.gippslandcarclub.com.au/suppregs.html I'm taking the EVO to see how it stacks up against the GSR after missing out on the AROCA PI because they stuffed up the entry mailout.
  9. Can't make it this time due to other commitments but it's good to see that there is a couple of mini's that will probably take out the round on behalf of the FWD team See you all at next years series.
  10. HH is great, I'm entered might up the boost a bit and see if I can get a 60sec as well.
  11. I'm there. 100 cars on what's looking like a nice sunny day
  12. I'll definitely be there one way or the other.
  13. Still down a couple of cars ATM. The EVO is now running (not) a two piece crankshaft having broken it at #4 big-end journal and the Silver thing is in currently in rehab needing brakes, wheels and front struts. Should have the coupe back up for the next round for sure but I'm good to help out as, and where, required for this round again.
  14. Bad luck being behind the Audi. I'm guessing skating on kitty litter is like driving on ice. James in the EVO said the whole thing didn't make any sense. Did the Audi go through scrutineering after it's off into the kitty litter that might have made a difference. Hope the damage isn't too bad.

It IS all about the cops, they decide. I got bashed by them in the 70's for drinking in public and still hate them now because of that and that's over 40 years ago!!! Things haven't changed just the excuse. If they had a sense of whats right rather than what is "what they think they can get away with at the time" then they wouldn't do stuff just because they can.
  16. Don't they move people about on the day if there is a traffic problem. Hope so, although as Andrew says just have a good day out and do your best.
  17. I've heard exactly the same thing where headaches were gone with only diet drinks being the dietary difference. So. regular soft drinks and exercise rather than diet drinks and no exercise is the go. A bit obvious but not what people want to do. .
  18. +1 re zero chance I ran into an unprotected pothole that was 4" deep and bent two rims and damaged suspension. Initially they told me to get lost but then said I can claim if the damage is a minimum of around $1,280 or thereabouts. The $1280 is an excess which I would have to pay and they would possible think about the rest If I'm lucky.
  19. OK, EVO then and I'm definitely a Skyline enthusiast just don't have one.
  20. Also heard that aspartame and similar metabolise the methyl alcohol component as formaldehyde in the retina. While the amounts in a single serve are minuscule the cumulative effect (daily use over years) will eventually cause a slow loss of eyesight. Bummer for those thinking they are doing the right thing for weight control to have that sort of long term problem. Any comment on this effect/is it true?
  21. Is it Nissan only or can I enter my Gran's Getz or something else? .
  22. I thought there was some timeframe for doing that and you get a letter telling you to take your memory pill. So is it that one day overdue and your a bad guy? Good thing my wife does these things I forget my own name by lunchtime somedays. jk
  23. I've never come across this before so it seems to me that with the 3km speed tolerance (fkuk 3km at 100kmph is only 3% margin) and this type of thing, if they have a combined camera/electronic scanner they may be testing ride height, popped lights, all sorts of things. Guess I see it as a trend where maybe we should all get a roadworthy every Monday before heading out for the week. Cynical me I suppose but the government even talks up "more revenue through speed cameras" these days. Still if it's just nabbing unreg/unlicenced ppl then that's all good. But it's getting more un-nerving as time goes on.
  24. Agree entirely, but that means there must be 100's thousands of them. Can't believe that. There must be more to it IMO.
  25. I was driving along Canterbury road yesterday and just over a rise there was a popo road block that funnelled three lanes into the centre lane where a sensor on a tripod about 1/2 meter off the road was scanning (I assume the number plate but maybe more) the front of all cars in the queue. There would have been 50 cars at the time and the lane went about 20 meters where there was a number of popo pulling over some but waving most through. So, If the sensor was scanning number plates for unregistered cars or registered cars owned by suspended/cancelled drivers then, as there were five cars and a truck pulled over at the time I went past then I can't believe 10% of an arbitrary bunch of drivers are in that category. If not then wtf is the sensor testing for?
