  1. My personal opinion in this: if you want outright moddability, the R33 is the way to go. Not only is it the most common model on Australian roads, but its pretty much the best supported Skyline in both Australia and Japan. I personally prefer the stock R33 GTS-t looks over the stock R34 GT-T looks: something about the GT-Ts doesn't quite float my boat. Having said that, I think the R34 GT-R is the nicest design of all, and some of the GT-T kits do wonders for its appearance. Taking into consideration its a newer car with improvements, I think the R34 GT-T is the best compromise between price, (stock) performance, moddability, and 'new-ness'. I would only have one priviso: buy a manual if you buy a GT-T so you don't have issues with aftermarket ECUs. LW.
  2. Thanks for keeping us updated Rezz. /me readies bank balance and wills the Aussie dollar up LW.
  3. Yup, and they even admit they picked it up at some dealership. Now consider that going fast round a track has a lot to do with maintaining speed through corners: do you think they bothered to overhaul the shocks/springs/etc on the R32? I doubt it. LW.
  4. R32 GT-R in Gunmental grey, unfortunately. LW.
  5. I think if you have off-street overnight parking you have half a chance. If not, there is always some fricken idiot that will damage property. Personally I don't mind so much if a car gets damaged when someone is trying to steal something: at least their is a point to their actions. Its when people deliberately damage property just for the hell of it that I feel like taking a baseball bat out and cracking some skulls. Within the space of three months, one of my family's cars had: 1) the passanger door bent back (nothing stolen), 2) the roof jumped on and sunroof smashed (nothing stolen), and then the drivers door bent back (sunglasses stolen). About a month or two earlier, some arsehole walked down our street and smashed the side mirrors off about 10-15 cars. *sigh* LW.

  7. I have done quite a lot of digging on the issue of HID lights. From my understanding, they don't have to be self-levelling (they must be aimed/adjusted within a certain tolerance), but they do have to be self-cleaning. So if you wanted to legally have them on your R34, you would need to retrofit some headlight washers from another car then get an engineer to sign off on them Lucien.
  8. inark: your going to end up with more skyline parts in your Cefiro than Cefiro parts LW.
  9. Thanks Rezz Are you pleased with your purchase? LW.
  10. I know, that's why I put rating in inverted commas I am not personally interested in R32 GTS-t's in general, just after some specifics on Rezz's car, but he seems to want to remain a little secretive about it, probably because its full of NOS bottles and T04Rs LW.
  11. Come on Rezz, how 'bout some more details? Age, mileage, "rating", etc? We want details dammit Cheers, Lucien.
  12. Can you elaborate on that? LW.
  13. Ooooo! You live in Leichhardt, like me! What is the name of the business you work for and where is it located? I might be looking to have some C/F bit fabricated in the future/ Lucien.
  14. Please, don't put one on your car: it looks povo and try-hard LW.
  15. Despite my critiscms, I watch it too mostly because its entertaining. However, I don't like the fact that it proports to provide factual "reviews", like the one of the 350Z. LW.
  16. Sure he is funny. But do you want to buy a car on the basis of the reviewer being funny, or based on factual information? Justifying it by pointing out that other publications/reviewers are biased doesn't exactly take away from the fact that Clarkson, funny as he may be, is not a good driver and not a good reviewer. /rant LW.
  17. Dave's R34 I imagine LW.
  18. Exactly, although they don't really have a go at Rover cars, more rover management. Clarkson is most certainly biased. If its british (*cough* Aston, Jaguar *cough*) he loves it and prattles on about British cars being the best in the world. Anyway, back on to the 350Z LW.
  19. I think you should spend all 10 days in Akihabara. Damn I loved that place. LW.
  20. Rezz, Really nice looking car there: I dig the black/red colour scheme (particularly the way you have matched the mirrors and wheels). How about a few stats? LW.
  21. Not forgetting, RB26TT Shame they cost so freakin much LW.
  22. R32 or R33 ones? LW.
  23. Well this is all good news. /me prays the live version doesn't suck like most animation --> live action transitions. In other good news, Best Motoring Hot Version's are going to be released for the english market. w00t. http://www.bestmotoringvideo.com/news.html LW.
  24. They shouldn't be more than about 10% out on a compression test. Are these results for compression or leak down, and what were the numbers for each cylinder? LW.
