  1. Alternatively has anyone got a good render of the GT-R badge? LW.
  2. Damn.. stacker already gone? LW.
  3. Come to think of it, isn't there some jaycar or dick smith type kit? LW.
  4. Damn straight! What a ripoff! Just grab a new Alpine or something and get a bigger screen and better res. LW.
  5. V-specs attract a considerable premium at auction too, so I would save the money, get a stock GT-R and use the saving to buy go-fast bits as the changes are so minimal anyway. LW.
  6. Is the Alpine stacker OK? which model is it? Sorry to hear about your car LW.
  7. I think Troy (ylw|gtr2) may have. LW.
  8. funky = son of rajab of the rice LW.
  9. You don't know what my price is ... LW.
  10. Bump. Cmon, someone must have a piccy. LW.
  11. Problem with stickies is they are actually easier to ignore I find LW.
  12. R33vit: what drive shafts do you use/rcommend? LW
  13. Urgh... these thread have been done to death dammit! Can we ban any new thread with the word "importer" in it Anyway, Geoff gets my vote. Nothing is too much for him Lucien.
  14. Re: wheels, depends how you do it. You could be cheap and use spacers, or your could get massive wheels and kiss goodbye $10k. LW.
  15. Engineering I imagine... Not quite sure why you would want to do this, but each to their own I guess.
  16. LOL.. I assume you mean in terms of lights, right? GT-T has standard (globe or rings -- not sure) style AFAIK; GT-R gets the trick LED lights. LW.
  17. Yeah the extra two inchs (and width) make a difference As for the others: Gram lights are cast (except for the 57Fs AFAIK) so I would avoid them (too soft). CE28N and SE37k are too fussy a design for the Skyline IMHO: would look good on some Euros though (thinking and Alfa or a Maserati), LW.
  18. Wow.. its a Jap spec Skyline too.... :headspin: Edit: He must mean that special Neo6 2500cc RB26. LW.
  19. Hmm.. when I made a claim on a domestic item that was shipped via AusPost they took possesion. Might be a bit different with o/s purchases. Either way nice to see you won't be stuck out in the cold. LW.
  20. Yeah, its a nice interior (although the dash shroud doesn't do it for me), but after 10-15years some are looking a little tatty. Nothing a bit of sweet sweet leather can't fix LW.
  21. If you going to make a warranty claim, don't bother trying to fix the current one because AusPost will take possesion of it upon payment of the claim. They auction all this stuff off somehwere (anyone know where? always wondered..) LW.
  22. Tony: I think you probably could tell the difference with a stop watch. The less powerful the car the more the difference should be apparent too. Maxx: 17" TE37s are closer to 7kg I believe. Regardless, its more than just a standard "20kg" because (as Tony mentioned) its unsprung weight so has a far more detrimental effect on power than sprung weight. Edit: TE37 specs: http://www.wheelspecs.com/specs/wheelmodels/425 LW.
  23. Yes, I know 1990 models are (generally) cheaper. My point is that now that DOTARS has made an official announcement regarding 1990 vehicles you would have to be thick to buy one, so I expect that demand for 1989 in the next little while -- a few weeks/months/however long until DOTARS finally makes a ruling -- will increase. Increased demand = increased prices at auction. LW.
  24. You will not be charged customs + GST on a warranty replacement: there is a customs exemption code for it -- I'm sure nengun can give it to you. One question: how do you know it wasn't damaged during transit rather than at customs? Lucien.
