  1. I have no reason too: I am quite happy with the way that Prestige is handling the import of my 1989 R32 GT-R My point was merely that I would anticipate two things if DOTARS does change the rules shortly: 1) auction prices on 1989 models will increase 2) R32 GT-R prices might see a rise in the longer term (because compliancing would attract another 4-odd thousand dollars under SEVS). LW.
  2. I wonder what this will do to prices ... LW.
  3. Hi Guys, Has anyone got -- have a link to -- a picture of the R34 MFD "bootup" screen? Cheers, Lucien.
  4. Arr.. so my $5k was not so wrong. Damn Monkeys! LW.
  5. Does that include all panels as well as seats, roof lining, etc? I did say it was an uneducated guess Although I seem to remember an article in Speed with some guy who had his R32 GT-R retrimmed in yellow-ish leather and the figure $5k seems to have stuck in my mind. LW.
  6. You'll have to do some photos. Chuck a set of the instructions in where you send the short shifter I will have a fiddle and see if I like the look
  7. What sort of budget do you have? A full leather retrim is going to be expensive (in my uneducated opinion, probably $5k depending on quality of leather, workmanship, etc).. LW.
  8. Yeah, they offer cheap performance, and your average Australian male seems to be a totally irrational creature who, since birth, can only see Holdens and Fords. Refined performance on the other hand.....? LW.
  9. Mmm.. totally agree (in theory at least). I will watch this with interest. LW.
  10. Shan: I am not entirely sure I think they are an improvement over the standard 'rings'. What do they look like in person? LW.
  11. Mmm... time for some of these I think: http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b52904616 LW.
  12. AFAIK, no Skyline has every come out of the factory with 6-pot calipers. LW.
  13. Willing to sell the PFC without the boost controller? If so, what price? Also, can you provide the model number of the PFC. Lucien.
  14. Everybody needs some lavender fabric softner. Boosts octance levels to at least 110RON while cleaning your engine. LW.
  15. meshmesh: that's for taking the time to test these items. Can anyone say "energy polariser" LW.
  16. I think you should be a little less concerned with what is faster at the traffic lights. I'm sensing a MINES_DATSUN. LW.
  17. Thats a, umm, nice boot full you got there LW.

    New Pipe!!!

Troy: sorry to dig up an old thread, but trying to get some info on Ganador exhausts. Are you still happy with it (the muffler)? Also, why just a Ganador muffler with custom pipe work? Cheers, Lucien.
  19. Remember, faster isn't always better. I would buy for the GTS4 for two reasons: 1) It wasn't a povo-pack GTS4 like the R33/34 versions. It got all the good fruit from the GT-R. 2) R33s are common Only weak link is the engine IMHO (/me suits up waiting for flames from RB20 lovers): the extra weight from the 4WD system will take the edge of performance. But larger displacement RBs are not exactly expensive, so there is a lot of room for increasing performance. LW.
  20. I suggest you and duncan have a race and see which is faster: the engineless r32 or r33 LW.
  21. I think people should stop stating what the max for all turbos of a particular revision are based on what they have observed with their own car. There are way too many variables including (but not limited to): age of car/components/turbo, how you drive your car (street, track? oh long on boost?), etc, etc. Stating that x turbo is good for y boost is not a good idea. LW.
