  1. Can you please confirm the part numbers and also post some pictures?
  2. So is there still a coil issue even with the ultimate?
  3. O RLY? How are you going to carry back my HKS GT-SS kit Did you get charged extra baggage fees (IIRC, they can be very expensive)?
  4. Any particular reason (besides being blue)?
  5. No. the RB25 has variable timing on the intake side. Bass Junky (IIRC) has made an adjuster for it though, so do a search.
  6. OK, lot of crap here GT-SS are available as single turbos, but obviously you should buy the GT-R kit which comes with two turbos. I can say with certainty that both Nengun and Greenline have the kit available for between $3050-3200 (I know, because I checked a couple of hours ago). As for the Garrett GT2860s in -5 spec, I suggest you check the results that some people have gotten (e.g. TommyK) and decide if you can live with that level of lag. The only person I know of with the smaller -7 spec (R32 TT) hasn't posted any results. Although the specs appear very similar to the HKS turbos (and I have little doubt the HKS turbos are at the very least based on the GT2860s), there is no confirmation they are the same. Also bear in mind the HKS kit is a *complete* kit, containing all the necessary gaskets, studs, nuts, etc. Although it doesn't sound like much, try pricing these things. Edit: As for the N1s, they look like a really nice option to me except they are rare and command a premium. Invariably they are second hand, nearly the same price as new Garretts or just a smidge cheaper than new HKS's.
  7. Duncan: by clutch adjustment, are you just talking the clutch pedal or is there some other adjustment in the hyrdaulic system?
  8. Well, I bloody well hope I have a clutch problem and not a shagged second synchro then I could have sworn I read a post a couple of weeks ago that said reco kits for bearings and synchros were about $400 ea (i.e. about ~800 total), but that might have been for the plain-jane (i.e. not GT-R) R32 box.
  9. Is that all synchros, or just third and fourth? Any ideas on R32 GT-R prices?
  10. Bump. R32 TT: How's it all going?
  11. Wow, how sensitive are people? A car idling for 30 seconds is hardly loud, even with a massive fartcan on the back. Maybe its just because I like on a busy street, but we have people coming and going all hours of the night/morning, and unless they are particularly rowdy, I sleep right through it. Of course its different if its waking up the next doors toddler or something, but surely most adults can sleep through a car idling 50+ metres away?
  12. As you can see, they aren't actually made by Trust: http://www.trust-power.com/14import/carboneshaft.html There was one for sale on Yahoo JP a few weeks ago (brand new I think). Unfortunately it was for an R34 (IIRC), otherwise I would have been sorely tempted. Ummmmm.. are you talking about www.nismo.com.au, or Nissan Motorsport (aka. Nismo)? BIG difference.
  13. Please post a price as per the rules.
  14. We had an issue when we got our first dog at our current address. We got a letter from all our "concerned neighbours in a 100m radius". The poor puppy had just come home and was crying at night because it was unuse to its new surroundings: we were accussed of not feeding it, not loving it, and causing others to loose sleep, being the root of all evil, etc. Anyway, turns out it was one neighbour -- do-gooder christian -- who wrote the letter, and noone else. Best thing we ever did was to find out who it was and confront them (not aggressively, but firmly). Don't try and annoy your neighbours by having mates cruise with stereos and so forth (not saying you would) because you reduce yourself to playing their petty game. Door knock your neighbours until you found out which one/s it was and discuss the matter with them. Point out its your car (not your parents), that you obey the speed limits, that the BOV/wastegate is standard, that they may be confusing your car with others, and that writing an anonymous letter is cowardly and if they have a problem they should make it known to you in a polite and correct manner. If you feel uncomfortable with face-to-face, do as suggest and write a reply (I suggest you make it sound as "professional" as possible) and letterbox, ensuring you include a copy of the original letter to showcase how rediculous it is (both it terms of content and the lack of a name).
  15. No, he is talking about the HKS Camp: http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1082 http://www.hksusa.com/categories/more.asp?id=1082
  16. Yes, I know that. Doesn't really answer the question though
  17. Sorry to go off-topic a bit, but..... Cut with what? Last time I bought gasket material it had a middle metal layer that made it very hard work with. I ended up using a punch of sorts.
  18. Might be worth a look? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=96984
  19. Could you please post a larger picture? What length are the cables?
  20. Gah. Ignore me, I am tired and can't read Very impressive result. How is traction on the road?
  21. Whoops, posted the wrong link. Try this one: http://www.maltech.com.au/ultimatebrakehoses.html
  22. Contact Maltech. They make kits for Skylines. Cheaper, Australian made (i.e. no wait or import duties), and ADR-approved: http://www.maltech.com.au/brakehoses.html
