  1. Good-O. Hope he replies LW.
  2. Yes, I agree $2000 is stupidly high, hence I was hoping people might be able to suggest some other places Who do you plan to use Blitz? LW.
  3. *Bump* Come on guys, some of you importing '89 or earlier models must have gone through this process? LW.
  4. Forza Ferrari! LW.
  5. I am not advocating spacers -- the possibility of them sheering off scares me sh*tless. But if you want to fit some stupidly deep dishes, etc, particularly if you are buying second hand wheels, then I can understand the appeal (even though I wouldn't buy them myself) LW
  6. In the sense that you can fit wider rims and tyres. LW.
  7. Driver's side door window LW.
  8. Hi All, I tried this in the NSW section, but not getting any replies ---- Currently importing a R32 GT-R and I want to get everything sorted well and truely before the car gets anywhere near Australia. Geoff from Prestige recommended the following companies to do the necessary modifications to comply with the ADRs (the price they quoted me is listed): Southside Performance Imports: $1200 + blue slip + rego. GM World (Auto Disposals): $2000 (inc blue slip) + rego. Sydney Compliance Centre: $1500 (can't remember if it was inc/ex blue slip). Has anyone had experience with those three companies? Was it good, bad, indifferent? Anyone who has used a different company, feel free to post the details plus any comments about them. Thanks guys! Lucien.
  9. Anyone know if R32 GT-Rs and GTSt's have the same windows? If so, do you have one available Neil? Cheers, LW.
  10. Model specific AFAIK as the diff ratios vary. LW.
  11. SK: Thanks for the details. LW.
  12. That's because generally tyres as thick as rear tires don't work well for steering. LW.
  13. That's too give impressive 0-100 results LW.
  14. Car has been booked in at the paintshop on Monday to fix the tailgate paint LW.
  15. SK: Where do you buy them from, and do you have a brand preference/model preference? Cheers, LW.
  16. Diameter, not width. LW.
  17. What sort of cost is involved in a complete respray (if nobody minds me asking)? LW.
  18. Last time I checked they weren't avilable, but since I bought an '89 GT-R I didn't bother following it up. I would expect plates to be quite expensive as they are (likely) rare with few if any workshops doing R32s. With that in mind, I would expect $4000-ish. LW.
  19. And they can be imported as race vehicles of course LW.
  20. The Calsonic/Impul R32 is back up for auction. LW.

  22. www.brant.com.au -- they have their own installers
  23. The Brant Nemisis is also in that range. Quiktrak is $2k installed then $300 a year, but I have been told doesn't work well in car parks/underground and is only a 3 point immobiliser so can leave you vulnerable to parts theft. According to Brant, all of these alarms will be upgradable with a tracking module when it becomes available (at the moment there is only some vague "watch out for this feature" statement on their website). LW.
