  1. Actually, it looks to me like poncams for the RB25NEO are.. Type A = 252/252 9.15 Type B = 260/260 9.15 http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogu...2_cam_RB25.html
  2. ... but not much sense *boom tish* Thank you. I will be here all night. How about trying the Wanted to Buy section? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hp?showforum=13
  3. Which gauges? Edit: And where are you located?
  4. I remain unconvinced. I can still picture the yellow sign in the train station as it was the most exciting thing in my life at the time (I spent a whole day walking around looking at Super Famicom and Neogeo consoles; ended up buying a some SNES games and bought the console later in the UK). Either way, I can probably cover a beer (long as its none of that pansy imported stuff) Edit: Oh, and keep the pictures coming. Great stuff. I particularly enjoy the everyday sort of stuff (as weird as it sounds, the normal stuff is in someways the most interesting)
  5. Hey TommyK, Thanks for the headsup. PS. I've been meaning to reply to your email/PM. Just been super busy.
  6. Not working for me either. Why don't you just directly upload it to https://upload.video.google.com/
  7. Probably changed in the last 10 years anyway I want to go to TAS *sob* *sniff*
  8. I'm 99% sure that the engrish translation on the akihabara train station signs said "electric city" when I was there (about 10 yrs ago now). God I loved that place. PS. Not saying that it isn't actually refered to as "electric town", just that the signs themselves used city...
  9. I prefer to think of indicators as "confirmers" because most people seem to put them on after they have started (or even complete) their move as if they were some sort of cofirmation after-the-fact
  10. I think you mean Porsche and Borg Warner?
  11. How are the vents in the dash? Willing to seperate them if they are in good nick?
  12. I have to say this really doesn't bother me about the R32 GT-R. Sure it looks sparse, but when you actually drive the car you realise why its sparse: you're meant to be concentrating on driving. With the exception of the centre gauges (bad idea IMHO, too hard to see) all the vital controls and important info is at hand/in eye shot. On a different tangent, you've given a purchase budget, but what's you're ongoing commitment like (ie. how much do you mind spending in maintainence)? Is this for a daily driver?
  13. Didn't see this linked earlier: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...7entry1725657
  14. My 0.02c: not enough places stock 100RON fuel to make the effort (and cost) to retune for the time being*. A question for Jim: if you tune for this new fuel, what do the AFRs look like when you stick 98 back in (without altering the tune again)? I would assume rich, but how much extra timing (if any) did you wind in? * For me, anyway. None of the petrol stations are anywhere near me, and the last thing I want to have to do is drive around like a granny looking for a Shell stocking 100RON fuel.

  16. Hey Richard, Sorry about the slow reply. Stupid forum changeover meant I am no longer subscribed to the thread. Still haven't done anything about this (for my car). Managed to bang up part of my mother's car ( ) so I will be doing the quote thing again next week so will hopefully get to Sydney Central if things at work slow down a bit. Might try Xclusive again if I have time.. its just a hassle getting out there.
  17. That's interesting. In the UK, all cars are required to be able to run on standard PULP including the Golf GTi. Wonder if VW has a special calibration for UK-spec cars (doubt it).
  18. Arr.. yes, I remember this video. The best bit is when he puts the handbrake on after hitting the drink. Total gold.
  19. That's all very well, but I have been in the situation of being in a lane that ended and some dipsh*t not paying attention and blocking me from merging (i.e. speeding up to run alongside despite my clear indication and attemtps to to merge) so I had to actually come to a complete stop where the lane ended and try and merge back in with cars wizzing bye at 80km/h round a corner. Then some blond who also got caught started tooting me to go, not realising she was taking up all my mirror because of the kerb and her well thought out plan to inch out in to the traffic. I also had an annoying run in with a black 350Z (Kel, was that you? ) that wouldn't let me merge despite the fact there was more than enough space. Ooo.. s/he was in a "sports car"... ooo.. that means the don't have to yield but can instead accelerate up to try and block you. Grrr.
  20. Not to rain on Nick's parade... Robert's a really great bloke and no complaints with the tint he did on my car. So if the group buy doesn't suit, give Robert a shout.
  21. Any idea on the cost (I would call the number, but I don't have a Japanese-speaker handy )? I found the thread, but the pictures are dead post forum changeover: you don't still happen to have them lying around do you?
  22. Plenty of info on this. A search would be a good place to start *wink wink*. pnblight and TommyK come to mind.
  23. No, I would never do something that hackjob-ish It is something I've been planning to do for an age though... I even have the MFD (collecting dust), just not the time as of yet (better to focus energies on actually getting the car running reliably ). Cost shouldn't be very much, except for the purchase of the actual MFD. The rest if just wiring and whatever customisation you choose to do.
