  1. Som3on3 flunk3d maths.
  2. Are there any clearcoat products that stick to unprimed metal surfaces?
  3. What did you use to paint the rear caliper? Did you do it yourself, or is it a pro job? I was always under the impression it wasn't a good idea to spray the inside near the piston. Its going to be a damn fast volvo
  4. Just to be clear, I wasn't actually recommending he make modifications You've also got the fact that its illegal as well.
  5. See the article scan I posted. Someone find out a price so I have something to aim at
  6. Is it a once of muesem piece though, or are they making them available to the public?
  7. Managed to find a copy lying around on my computer
  8. The PFC Pro usually has a little silver sticker (with black writing) which states as much. I would assume you can probably also tell from the serial number.
  9. If you do a seach, you'll find a couple of threads. No doubt someone will post up the scans of the mag article where the guy tracks down a bunch of Zero Rs out the back of the HKS factory.... with mould growing.

    Order Now!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to slim down? Then you can wear the misses' clothing too for those special nights out.
  11. IIRC, it refers to the ramp rate used on the dyno: shoot_8 being for an eight cyclinder cars, shoot_6 for 6 cylinder cars. This is all part of a long running saga about whether or not twoogle achieved a certain power rating (I forget the exact number) at a dyno comp. The number achieved was done so with the dyno in shooutout 8 mode (which -- not wanting to step on any toes here -- allegedly produced a higher than normal figure), hence the sly comment
  12. Then its working correctly. You are not meant to be able to view DVDs whilst the car is in motion. As already mentioned, you can get around that by fooling the DVD/TV into thinking the handbrake is always on.
  13. This is certainly an interesting subject given a number of recent dyno tunes done for forum members with AFRs in the 12:1 to 12.5:1 range. When I first started reading this forum, very few people were willing to venutre much beyond the 11.5:1 to 12:1 range. I'd love to hear what some of the tuners have to say...
  14. I didn't stop to take a sip so I can't comment on its freshness (maybe we could sell "GT-R Water" on ebay? Good for atleast 30rwkw), but it looked reasonably clear. As for the window problem, there is a thread on that somewhere else.
  15. My point is you can't live your life always wondering "what if". Sometimes you should just try and enjoy it. If you enjoy your car, and like modifying it, sometimes its ok to indulge
  16. What if you get run over by a bus. Your savings aren't going to be doing much good then
  17. The GT-R screen -- its known as the Multi Function Display (MFD) -- isn't "pop up": its fixed. The screen you might be referring too in the GTT is the naviation option that some GT-Ts have. DAMSXC: If by radio "not working" you mean you can't tune it to Australian stations, is because you need a frequency converter. As for the screen not displaying DVDs, does it work with the handbrake on?
  18. Yes, try specifically for posts by SydneyKid. He has gone over this on numerous occasions.
  19. What's that smell? Oh, right, its BS!
  20. From personal experience I can confirm what others have stated: don't waste your time with the dealers on Parramatta Rd. The general quality of cars they have is poor. They basically don't give a shit until you sign on the dotted line: I even had one dealer say he wouldn't allow me or my father (a very respectable 50-something Professor) test drive a car until we agreed to purchase it. Japlink is definately the best on that strip, but they are also very weary of tyre kickers.
  21. Sorry, but that proves nothing except that having no airfilter will give you a slightly higher once off dyno figure. Out of interest, was the bonnet upon or closed? I would like to see what happens to your 10kw gain during regular daily use (i.e. nice hot underbonnet temps). An apples-to-apples comparison would require a boxed pod IMHO
  22. The problem is, its impossible to say (with any accuracy) if the ceramic wheels will definately let go or definately be fine once the boost restrictor is removed. My 0.02c is don't remove it unless you are happy to run the risk of blowing one or both of your turbos. If they blow, your looking at about 2000-3000 in parts (for new items) plus installation. Of course if they blow and take out your engine, your up for double that. That's a rather expensive risk to take in my books.
  23. If you want indicution noise, get a pod filter. Having said that, I think you've got your priorities wrong. You shouldn't be worrying about the induction noise, you really only want want two things for an airfilter arrangement: 1) filtration, and 2) air flow. Both of those can be achieved (within reason) using the standard airbox arrangment and a good quality filter.
  24. Post up your experiences when you get a chance. Everyone says the ARC box is very well made, but nobody has given an account of how it compares to other options (stock airbox, apexi pods, etc).
  25. I tried to fix mine but it didn't really improve things. Apparently Windscreens O'brien have reseated a few R32 windscreens and used a generic seal. IIRC, cowie165 and Paul/Stace from Dirt used Obrien and I think it was about $170. No ideas exactly which installer they used though, or which generic trim was used. Perhaps they will comment. Don't bother with the OEM Nissan. If its the same as the GT-R, your looking at about $500 at trade prices.
