  1. Someone needs to learn how to use the edit button. As for the "lines of the R33".... I'm not sure what lines your talking about. Its about the most boring of all the Skylines from a design perspective.
  2. Yeah, on closer examination I agree. The paint colour is wrong.
  3. If you can take some photos of the stickers on the airbox, I'm sure one of our Japanese reading users would be able to help. Usually timing belt stickers are put on the cam cover: I wonder if they were stuck on the airbox so it could be removed for inspection. Is the paint on the intake plenum cracked/crazed, or is that just dust? Some pictures of the rail/chassis rust/damage might help too. A few other things you may/may not know about your car. You have a Nismo (probably copy) rear lip spoiler. You also have Nismo (again, probably copy) side skirts. Your airfilters look like they've seen better days. I've written about this previously, but I wouldn't drive around hammering your car before changing all the oils and filters. There are a fair few: set aside in the region of $500 depending on oil brand. Enjoy your new toy.
  4. No worries. Nice to see its sorted Out of interest, were the HICAS prongs meant to be at 12 and 6 or 2 and 8?
  5. Umm, fragile 12-15years old ceramic wheeled turbos a good enough reason?
  6. How about trying the naturally aspirated forum, because, like, they drive N/A cars.
  7. I am not a football fan in any shape or form. However, over all the football codes I find AFL the easiest to sit down and enjoy. The last few swans matches I've watched have been fantastic.
  8. There should be a dot on the steering wheel where it joins the column, and a dot on the end of the the steering shaft/spline (close to the edge) that emerges from the column (and that the wheel attaches too). Obviously you line the two dots up and rotate the HICAS prongs so they fall into the holes on the wheel. Does that make sense (sorry, tired, not explain well ).
  9. Poor Mark. Its not been a pleasant experience. Hopefully everything comes together soon. I don't personally see a huge issue with the R32 linked earlier: anyone with half a brain can see the car is in poor condition. The exterior give some clue as to the mechanical state the car may be in. Yes its misleading that the "supplier reports blahblahblah is good", particularly since the supplier is the god damn seller, but I guess its a case of buyer beware. I have a far greater issue with cars like Mark's where there is a fair degree of deception IMHO: i.e. where there are no obvious exterior and interior problems with the car, but a half decent examination reveals significant issues. In fairness to PM they aren't the supplier of the car, but some of the suppliers are quite well known. I was once told that J-Spec refused to deal with a certain supplier because of their previous history, but I see that they now list cars from that dealer on their website. I will say this: I will never buy a car from a japanese car dealer. Auction yes, yard hell no.
  10. I agree, but they are still a damn sight cheaper than the twin plate others were suggesting.
  11. What year is your car? Its most likely meant to have the lugs at 2 and 8 or there abouts. If its a later model (late-92/93 through 94) it may have them at 12 and 6. But as Richard said, the best way is to grab the OEM wheel and lineup the dot on the wheel with the dot on the spline and see where the lugs are meant to fit.
  12. As Drunkan pointed out, it depends what you want out of a car. There is a lot to be said for a brand new car you can make warranty claims on, can be dropped off for dealer servicing, has spare parts readily available, doesn't cost the earth to insure, can be parked on the street.... you get the idea. There are a lot of sacrifices you make when owning a GT-R. Not everyone will find them acceptable.
  13. I think you missed the obvious one: shit drivers
  14. Search. There are atleast two recent 'tuner experience' threads. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...l=sydney++tuner http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...l=sydney++tuner
  15. http://www.fabre.com.au -- their shop is in Sydney if you feel like getting it in person. SK: Do you forsee a limit to the stock airbox arrangment (with a good filter like a Pipercross)?
  16. Is it possible? Yes. Is it a good idea if you don't have previous experience with tuning and/or the PowerFC? No.
  17. Heh. Maybe you should break out the steel wheels, or better yet, how about four GT-R space savers. That would be an interesting look on the track In fact its almost worth trying to borrow a couple of space savers just for a photo op. Re: SSR forging technique (the general URL was posted earlier, this is the info specifically about the construction): http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/ssr/ssr_info.jsp
  18. Out of interest, what is the stock limit (I've never bothered to hit it, obviously )
  19. This comes up every month or two. Search my friend. Its a waste of time.
  20. Oh man, I want to be breast fed every morning too. Where do I sign up?
  21. I think you mean 411rwhp
  22. LOL. Seriously though, I'm not obsessed with Nintendo games. EA Sports titles do nothing for more, nor do the endless incarnations of the same racing/sports titles. That's all.
  23. Hey, its my opinion.. bight me NFL = BORING (how people can even watch the real game is beyond me), NBA = boring, NFS = boring, Ridge Racer = OK but hardly earth shattering, I could go on but the point is none of those title to me is particularly special or a reason to buy a PSP (where is 'the killer app'?). The DS lineup in Australia at the moment is not great, I agree. Some of the upcomming releases look very good to me (though no doubt they will take an age to get here). Anyway, I am not trying to turn this in to a pissing match. Just my impressions
  24. Because I am a nice person: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZmybasquie Yeah, I also emailed him an no response yet.
  25. The car is in a magazine. Need I say more? At least the owner seems realistic about his car.... personally I worry more about the err 'less educated' Skyline owners who will read the article and think that 300rwkw is an appropriate figure for their stocko engine.
