  1. Mate... if you ever get bored, I think I can find another GT-R for you to pull apart
  2. Well obviously don't point the hose down the vent
  3. Awesome work Rezz. I didn't recognise it as a BNR32 at first although I kept thinking "those proportions look familar". Its actually not a bad looking car IMHO, particularly if the rear wheel filled the guards a bit more.
  4. I think I finally found the info. Supraforums search function is borked so its taken awhile Duncan, is this what you are refering to? Its attributed to Todd Wilkes and would seem to be a calibration issue:
  5. I've tried to find something concrete about this (because I was bored). Do you recall if it was a calibration issue or are "US HP" a slightly different unit? Some interesting history here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower
  6. Possibly. It would depend on the vent angle and size. If you were driving at the time its obviously far less likely given most vents face towards the back of the car, and any water that did make it in would probably evaporate when it hit the engine.
  7. You might not have noticed since your probably don't drive diesels, but petrol stations frequented by trucks tend to have high flow diesel pumps.
  8. The brand name ones are of questionable use: they probably make some difference of cars with poor earthing. The Pivot ones cost about $120. Do you really think some Ebay knockoff with a fake brand name is going to be worth the hassle?
  9. That still doesn't quite clear it up. If nuts are coming loose and allowing the turbo to seperate from the dump that's quite different to just blowing the gasket. If its the nuts, are you torquing them to spec? If its the gasket the keeps blowing, its more likely you need the surfaces machined.
  10. Bumpity bump. Still trying to decide on a which way to jump (if at all). smile.gif Edit: Interesting. The multiple quote thing doesn't work with quick reply.
  11. I assume you mean other parts? Why is that? Build too mild to justify the aftermarket jobbies?
  12. Not good But as per above, when do you need this person to start? Also, how many days a week would they be required? I wouldn't mind earning some extra money on the side but I can't do anything till the last week of next month which I assume is probably way too late.
  13. Crap delete: sorry. On a serious note, when is this person required to start?
  14. But he does. Blitz = teh g0d.
  15. By loose what do you mean? Are the gaskets blowing or is it noticeably loose because a nut has come undone?
  16. With the right equipment http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=85467
  17. The biggest problem always seems to be getting the coil packs and spark plugs wet (judging by the number of "OMG!!!111 My car won't start post washing" posts). Maybe cover sensentive areas with some plastic.
  18. I'm on Bridgestones so its all irrelevant
  19. Yes, this is a less than wonderful trend in tuning. Witness the accounts of people getting $500 tunes which involve half an hour of tuning. Sure there should be some compensation for the fact the tuner/workshop is responsible for not killing your car... but even still.
  20. Well unless they can emulate a touch screen, I doubt it Call me a Nintendo fan boy, but I like the way they try and innovate and their commitment to fun games rather than flashy graphics.
  21. Cmon Troy.. do tell
  22. They organised my aircon regas after Razor$harp recommended them. Really nice blokes. Haven't had anything mechanical done there but plenty of people on here have.
  23. Petrol prices are expected to come down soon (at least from the stupid highs of this past week). I'd just short fill for the time being and hope in the next week or two prices come back a bit. Personally I think it would help a lot if the media (and I guess people) didn't focus so much on it. Markets are driven as much by sentiment as any rational calculation of supply and demand.
  24. Yeah, that's fine but since some of your posts have copies of Pivot pictures/images (from here) and you link to the Pivot manual its a little confusing and I think it would be easy to assume these are Pivot units.
  25. That R33 is ugly. Wheels are about the only intersting thing IMHO, and I'm not sure they suit the car. I was also amused to see it was listed as importable (is that a word? ) under SEVS.
