  1. There is also an exhaust control valve from Apexi that sits along the muffler piping and has a baffle you can adjust to restrict airflow (and thus noise). http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_exhaust_d...d=251&pageNum=1
  2. It might just be me, but I'm finding increasingly its young woman that are the most aggressive: last week it was some girl in a Daewoo Nubira stationwagon. I also get the usual WRX owners with their rediculous BOVs wanting to race. I tend not to venture out at night though so I think I miss the worst of it.
  3. Oh cmon, pics are needed
  4. What is it with the product banners? Must be the same mentality as those that insist on having shopping lists on the side of their cars........
  5. How about trying...... Nissan
  6. Doesn't the R33 have the little toolkit behind the panel on the left of the boot ala R32?
  7. Time to bring back this classic SAU picture. Behold the true boat:
  8. I can't afford a g/f. The GT-R takes all the dough
  9. I snuck some octane booster in to be absolutely sure it would be OK. But its a two edged sword: octane boosters tend to foul plugs and clog injectors. I'm sure it will be fine... given my luck I don't take chances
  10. Well the screw driver trick in the manual is a crock IMHO: its almost impossible to get them out without damaging the vent blades (when trying to get some leverage with the screw driver) or snapping the tabs. Really the only safe way I can think of is removing them by getting at the back of them (which means undoing the dash and rotating it enough to get at the vent). Maybe others have a few tricks.
  11. Did you buy these new (i.e. are you the first owner)? How many KMs have they done (roughly)?
  12. Telling us which car might help
  13. For the downforce yo
  14. As per my first post, that's not the point. Nobody objects to small signatures, but when it entirely degrades the very point of the forum then somethings gone wrong IMHO.
  15. Hi Pete, Are you back by any chance?
  16. Premium 98 RON fuels use aromatics to increase their octane count. Eventually the aromatics loose their effectiveness, hence my comment .

  18. Maybe its just me, but are signature sizes out of control? I don't mind signatures when they are text or small images -- I also surf at 1600x1200 which helps make them less annoying -- but some of the ones appearing on SAU or just rediculously huge both in physical size and file size. Not to pick on people, but this is a particularly bad example. Not only is it massive -- dwarfing his actual post and taking up half the screen -- but its 103kbytes too: At 1024x768 it literally takes up the entire screen When the same person posts multiple times in one thread you then end up with screens and screens of useless crap. Frankly it degrades the whole forum "experience" and utility. Sooo.. how about a reasonable file size and dimensions limit for signatures? Edit: Before someone jumps up and down and points out you can turn off signatures, that's not really the point frankly. I shouldn't have to turn them off just to get a reasonable browsing experience.
  19. Where is the werd smilie It makes a lot of sense if you think about it...
  20. Have you tried the fuses for the climate control? There are three IIRC.
  21. 1. Well I would check your lines. Its not uncommon for them to perish over time. Also, how tightly secured is the master cylinder? 2. I find the interior lights dim momentarily: can't say I've noticed the headlight dimming too. Either way, if its just the relay its normal. I've often wondered if a better battery or one of those earthing kits would help. 3. No idea then. Have you tried the error codes on the climate control?
  22. Hardly. These are quite common problems. 1. Check your brake lines. Make sure your using a quality DOT5.1 oil. 2. I did some investigating on this. Its a relay in the boot clicking on/off. Its for the 4WD or HICAS (I forget which -- I posted up some details you can search for if you really care). 3. Does the climate control display reflect the (supposed) change in position?
  23. I'm not stressed, just annoyed. I've had about six hours use out of my car since getting it back -- that's after about 7 weeks off the road -- and now there is the possibility of another problem. I'd kill for, oh, say a month of hassle free motoring. Re: cold start pressure, I didn't notice and I haven't had time to check today. Either way its going to pay Dr Nathan a visit on Monday. Fingers crossed it just the sender (which seems very common from what I have read).
  24. Terrific I'll have to pay more attention to it tomorrow. Why didn't I buy a Corolla?
