  1. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/driving/gtr/review.html LW.
  2. The line about having your upload speed set high to increase download speeds is incorrect: quite often its the opposite. I cap most of my torrents at about 4-5Kbyte/sec upload and can quite happily do hundreds of kbytes down per sec. Each torrent only needs a couple of Kbytes upstream so it can send enough data out to let the peers/seed/tracker know what's going on. Lucien.
  3. Well the simple answer is to try and free up the intake and exhaust so there is less resistance. What modifications have you made? LW.
  4. Does the your key have a number written on it? If so, a locksmith can make a perfect "original" from the number. LW.
  5. SteveL: The rear diff doesn't require oil with any special friction additives. Any of the standard hypoid GL5 diff oils is fine (rather than those LSD specific oils) IIRC. LW.
  6. Thanks for that. Bit more than I want to pay: put me down for a standard R32 GT-R unit. Lucien.
  7. Ok, stupid question 101: does the OS G gearset simply fit in the existing GT-R gearbox case? Cheers, Lucien.
  8. Just to confirm, I am down for a R32 GT-R PFC (depending on price, I might get a Pro instead) Lucien.
  9. Hi All, Due to a change in plans (and condition of my car ) I am selling my brand new Blitz Nur-Spec GT-R Front Pipe. It was bought for me as a gift awhile ago and I had hoped to use it, but my car has developed some issues I need to address so this has to go unfortunately. Its completely new, in box: I only unpacked the front-pipe for some photos and prior to that it was still all wrapped up from the factory. I have posted some nice pictures up: click here to view them. Its a Blitz Nur-Spec Front Pipe (Part No. 21554) which is the current Blitz model. The Blitz JP website has almost no details, except a link to this PDF. There is also the Blitz US website. As you can see from the photos, it is absolutely new and unused. Some of the features which I think are nice/important: Quality stainless steel construction. Japanese brand, not a cheap chinese or australian knockoff. Suitable for R32, R33 and R34 GT-Rs. Big piping: 2 x 70mm --> 1 x 80mm piping. With the exception of a few esoteric brands/models, that's about as large as you get. Strong welds so they shouldn't crack like the cheapies do. A lot of care has been taken to reduce air turbulence by having a really smooth surface on the inside (see the photos). Incorporates a flex joint so it doesn't transmit stresses and vibration to the turbos and dump pipes. Includes all the relevant gaskets and nuts/bolts Edit: Sold. Lucien.
  10. What, you can't afford a couple of hundred bucks? Then drop the fscking drive shaft out. What is this? n00b hour? LW.
  11. I went the tow. For $80 it saved me all the hassles listed above, having to drive an unknown car, and any worries about breaking something. For peace of mind, it was well worth it IMHO. Compared to the cost of the car its nothing anyway. LW.
  12. Buy an ATTESSA controller then. I don't see the problem? LW.
  13. Take the front drive shaft out. Problem solved  LW.
  14. MSRB26: can we set a cutoff date for this because I would rather not wait multiple weeks in the hope someone appears only for it to fizzle and then loose the benefit of the strong AUD-JPY exchange rate. Lucien.
  15. I call BS. A mate of a mate of a mate of a cousin said that Mr. Miyagi is often found in the garages of drift events rubbing his hands together and healing cars. LW.
  16. No, they don't do dyno tuning: they are a mechanic and compliance centre, not a aftermarket parts store/dyno/workshop like UAS et al. Give them a call as I can't remember exactly what they charge. If you do a search you'll see plenty of people use Nathan and are very happy. Lucien.
  17. Meh. Just tell her its cheaper than an RX7 LW.
  18. Grey imports isn't that far IMHO. Quick dash across the bridge and on a good day its probably only 20 minutes. Good mechanics are hard to find and worth travelling for IMHO. LW.
  19. There was a thread in the NSW forum about recommended places, but I can't for the life of me find it. Personally I really like...: Grey Imports 1a Trafalgar St Annandale 2038 (02) 9519 5150 Nathan is as straight as they come and a great guy to boot. Lucien.
  20. The HICAS lock bars lock the rear HICAS assembly to stop it from moving: this would completely replace all the HICAS assembly. LW.
  21. Very interesting. What is the cost of such an item? Cheers, Lucien
  22. This has some of them, but unfortunately not 17x8s: http://www.wheelspecs.com/specs/wheelmodels/425 LW.
  23. Richard: Ta, will do. Was going to do the running around today, but I didn't wake up till about 11:30AM and now can't be bothered. Probably do it on Wednesday afternoon. Will report back with impressions and prices for those interested Lucien.
