  1. My net is a little screwy tonight, so the Tomei site is extremely slow. IIRC, there is at least one Procam that is quite close to the B-spec poncams. Lucien.
  2. I've been meaning to ask, assuming you get the Procam with the same lift/duration as Poncams, what is the benefit? I assume the changes to the valve train etc are to reinforce it for higher RPM applications? Lucien.
  3. Any recommendations on a "good" wrapping product? Does one need to buy, say, twice as much wrap as the length of piping you want to wrap? Blitz: Any comment on how to install dump pipes without removing the turbos/manifolds? Cheers, Lucien.
  4. Who makes these? What grade stainless? Have they been flow tested, and if so, what were the results? Cheers, Lucien.
  5. If you go through NS, they should only be $75: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=94611
  6. You could always make one with an 'expanding' pipe (ie. part of the pipe slides in/out and is held on with springs): Ganador for instance uses a similar setup on their exhausts to allow installation regardless of slightly different setups. LW.
  7. Getting back to the original point of this thread, I have decided to grab one of the Blitz pipes: they are 2 x 70 -> 80 pipes in stainless steel. New question: I am guessing the heatshield from the stock pipes is not going to fit. Do people bother shielding their pipes -- either with a solid shield or wrap -- or just leave them as is? Cheers, Lucien.
  8. In other news, the Bureau of Meteorology has announed that hell will be experiencing a slight drop in temperature Congrats: good to here things are (literally) back on the road. Lucien
  9. Well that's entirely useless then isn't it? LW
  10. I think you mean Trust/Greddy not HKS: they are a different design to the HKS's, featuring an intergrated dump/front setup with longer wastegas gas pipes. You might also want to try Advan Racing in Silverwater (NSW): apparently they have decent price on Trust/Greddy gear. Also, which CES setup is that: the HKS-style dumps and front, or the 'competition' pipes? LW.
  11. Take it to a radiator shop. See the thread I linked a couple of posts up. Lucien.
  12. Sorry, but I just don't think that's the case. You would have been better off saying "any neglected R32 will go bang at some stage", but so would most HiPo cars if mistreated and not serviced correctly. Its far more likely you'll end up wasting hundreds and hundreds of dollars addressing all the small problems: worn out pumps, belts, and dodgey electrical connections usually surface. Then there is the ongoing consumables -- tyres, brakes, oils, etc -- not to mention fuel. Yes you can be unlucky, but I don't think that the horror stories are indicative of everyones experience. LW.
  13. Where exactly in Sydney, and how much? Lucien.
  14. Was that just the fronts (hence your posts in every Brembo thread offering to purchase the rears)? LW.
  15. No. They completely replace the dump and front pipes: one end bolts on to the back of the turbo, the other to the cat/exhaust. Hence why the seperation of wastegate gasses in longer with the Trusts Lucien.
  16. The Silk Road ones seem to be on Yahoo JP all the time, but I haven't heard any reports of people using them...? LW.
  17. predator: the leak, assuming its before the O2 sensor, could be screwing the mixtures on your car. That was certainly the case with my exhaust leak: car drank petrol like no tomorrow. Hope things improve. Cheers, Lucien.
  18. Sure, I'd love to buy local by I completely agree with mmmgtir: the CES pipes (be they the 'HKS-style' ones or the competition pipes) do not represent good value. Given that are just as pricey -- if not more when you consider they are mild steel -- than the Japanese parts, the only advantage is they are local if you're in Queensland and not having to wait for something to arrive from overseas. Perhaps if it was a choice between some backyard overseas operation and the CES's it would swing in their favour regardless of the price differential, but Trust is a no backyard operator. Lucien.
  19. Any tips on improving upon the stock lowmount setup for those of us who don't want to go for a highmount? Is it just a question of trying to smooth out the airflow through the manifolds, or should they be replaced entirely, etc etc etc? Lucien.
  20. I renewed almost a month ago, but haven't heard a word: can someone confirm my renewal was actually recieved, and when I might get the new membership cards? Pretty please? Lucien.
  21. That guy sells on Nissan Silvia, so you can PM him and maybe buy outside Ebay: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...p?showuser=6940 Lucien.
  22. You're assuming people are interested in performance LW.
  23. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...light=reset+ecu LW.
  24. cattivo_69: You mean, I assume, that some of the manifold-to-head studs had snapped? Personally I found replacing the studs on my car (I did head -> manifold, and turbo -> dump studs) was really easy. Little bit of penetrene, then tighten two nuts against each other and they came out with hardly any effort. You want to be careful with putting too much pressure on the studs.... IIRC, the exhaust manifolds were only about $60 w/ SAU discount when I bought them: good reason to sign up to the SAU club (if your in NSW anyway). Edit: You should also replace the locking tabs. Lucien.
  25. If you took off the dump, you should replace all the turbo --> dump studs given the level of heat they are exposed too. Did you replace the gasket? Also, remember to reset your ECU. Its probably worth giving the sensor a good dose of Penetrene or something similar to try and loosen the thread... I would have thought a combination of socket + universal joint + extensions and maybe a breaker bar on the rathchet, would have gotten it off. For the record, IIRC the R32 GT-R sensors require a 17mm socket/spanner. I think Wilch indicated earlier that the EL one was a 21mm: was there much play in the 22mm Gordon? Cheers, Lucien.
