  1. I'll be fascinated to see what difference that makes, both in terms of reducing outright weight, but also in terms of decreasing rotating mass. Please keep SAU updated on that one Lucien.
  2. You should find this useful if you decide to remove the radiator: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=67730 LW.
  3. If your car has an immobiliser/alarm, I suggest you switch it off before you try and jump start the car. If you want to connect the leads to your testicles, I suggest you remove your chastity belt. LW.
  4. I think he was saying the 4" Magic Cat is $350 trade / $500 retail, not an empty piece of pipe. LW.
  5. Richard: You remind me of the lawnmower man PSI_GTSII: Yes, those are the Trust/Greddy front extension pipes everyone is drooling over (and that Ronin has). They replace both the dump and the front pipe. A very similar setup is made by CES Racing. Ronin 09: Its so confusing. They are branded as Greddy on the Trust website CameronBNR32: Link? Lucien.
  6. I would buy them, but I am too poor plus I will be quitting work in a month or two until my honours thesis is done, so I have to save for other things $250... you sure you don't want to make that $1100 so you can buy the trusts LW.
  7. Approximately, yes. Better to have closer to 3L so you can spill a bit Lucien.
  8. If you think that's expensive, you should check out the proper ARC items (the Yahoo ones look like knockoffs) -- up to ~A$2,000: http://www.arcinter.co.jp/titan.html As for "do it once, do it right", the problem is I have a noticable leak that needs fixing soon. It won't be a good 6+ months till I get around to the Trust/Greddy units so waiting is not the preferred option. PSI_GTSII: I'd love to know too, perhaps Nick or someone from UAS can shed some light on this. My guess is you would need the front pipes off (obviously) and perhaps the oil return pipes. I also expect you would need access from the top: probably the removal of air pipes and heatshields?? Cheers, Lucien.
  9. They certainly exist: ARC makes a titanium front pipe, and these ones are constantly for sale on Yahoo JP. Only problem is none of the titanium ones seem to be the split design. I haven't come across titanium dumps, however. Edit: I would imagine that titanium dumps would cost a fortune given the thickness of metal required. Lucien
  10. What about those GT28RS "disco potato" turbos? From what I have read they blow harder then the GT2530, but spool up is only marginally slower. There are also very cheap: horsepowerinabox.com is running a special through Nissan Silvia for about $1400 IIRC (no idea what flange though). LW.
  11. On a related note, what should one replace the hoses to the BOVs, actuators, etc with? Silicon hose, braided lines (bit OTT?), or just go with new stock jobbies? I'm tempted by the silicon hose as there seems to be a lot of it around at the moment. LW.
  12. Please search. This has been covered so many times, its not funny.
  13. When I bought SAF-XA, it was about $27 per 1l bottle. I always find Repco to be about 10 per cent more expensive than anywhere else. Lucien.
  14. Did you look at the first two posts of the thread..... LW.
  15. Roy, Just wondering how this panned out? Cheers, Lucien.
  16. just: very useful info, ta. As I said, I just don't have the time for the Trust/Greddy units: having to pull everything out to replace the dumps is a massive hassle (I only just a fortnight went through the whole turbo/manifold removal too thanks to a leaking gasket). If the leak wasn't bad I would consider just ignoring it, but the leak/s are very noticable. Lucien.
  17. No, stupid... Its Daft Vader, son of rajab of the Fools. LW.
  18. Both definately sold. d00dz: nice doing business with you. As I said, give me a headsup if you have any problems (though I can't imagine why). Cheers, Lucien.
  19. In which case I would be interested in the weight comparison too. Perhaps its just because the front pipe section is considerably bigger on the Greddy units? Lucien.
  20. You mean dumps or front pipe? Or both (ie. the Greddy Ext. Front/Dump set)? Trust also has (or had) their own front pipe (called the MX) hence the confusion I'm only looking at the front at the moment as I don't have time (or money) to pull the whole exhaust side apart again to replace the dumps. Lucien.
  21. Richard, Arr.. if the flanges stay the same, that's good news. I agree in regards to the front pipes: they are all very similar. I could get used stockies for $50-100, a used mild steel aftermarket for like $150-250, or a used stainless for $250-350. For about a good priceI can get a new Blitz tuned length in stainless steel (plus I think it has the gaskets), hence the temptation. /me looks at Nick's nick and shakes his head What are the Apexi's worth roughly? Lucien.
  22. Ok, stupid question time My R32 GT-R's stock front pipes have seen better days: rusted and leaking. So its time for a replacement. I have been tossing up between just sticking another stockie on, or going for an aftermarket. Ultimately I want to get the Trust split front/dump setup, but can't afford it at the moment. The car is also running the stock dump pipes. On to the stupid questions.... What are the diameter measurements for the stock front pipe? If I get an aftermarket pipe with say 2 x 70 --> 80, is that going to be able to be mated to the stock dumps (ie. does the flange stay the same, even if the pipe size increases)? Finally, has anyone had any experience with the Blitz GT-R front pipe? Cheers, Lucien.
  23. Both are sold, pending confirmation. DLuded: There are two other guys that got in before you. If they fall through, I'll get in touch. Edit: Cleared out PM box. Lucien.
  24. Guys, This is not an auction: please don't PM me asking me to accept less and/or pay for postage. As I have already explained, I am loosing money as it is and asking me to drop the price further and/or cover postage is insulting. If you can find them cheaper (and I doubt it: Repco wants about $82-85) buy them there. Lucien.
