  1. I find this wiring guide is quite handy: http://www.phoenixgold.com/tutorial/tutor.htm LW.
  2. Just put something really long in there.... as many 9s as you can fit Alternatively put "666" in there to let DOTARS know that you are aware they are the devil. LW.
  3. Yeah, the mould was 'orrible... Those pics were taken at Nathan's after it had already been cleaned/vacummed/spat on or whatever they do at Hobbs. It was actually worse still when I collected it off the ship. Apparently they store the cars with the windows ajar... Wheels will look a lot better when the car is clean, the wheels are clean, and the car and wheels are in proper lighting. Until I can afford to lower the car I will just run the stock wheels me thinks (may as well use up the existing rubber, plus I may have to get the guards rolled and/or the wheels engineered ). New gear and shift boot are so much nicer than the old ones. Fairly easy to install as I had the dash apart to replace it anyway. You need to remove the centre console/arm rest, then all you do is remove the springy-wire thing from the old boots, and have the woman in your life (or in my case, my dad's life) sow the wire into the new ones Probably would take 45 minutes to do a complete change over. I found the handbrake boot was rather tight to fit, but the leather has some play.. LW.
  4. Not to mention that it will have to be dead stock to meet SEVS requirements... LW.
  5. Web server had a momentary burp: should be fixed now. Poor car is filthy in all the pics. I really should do some proper ones some time LW.
  6. Looks like your right too. LW.
  7. I don't like Hyundais. LW.
  8. Bler. Web server just died. Gay Edit: Its back up. Try again. LW.
  9. I noticed the guards, and I noticed the GT-R seats... but it could still be a GTS-t with replaced guards -- given how many whacked out cars there are in japan -- hence I wanted confirmation. They are 18x9.5J. According to the Ray's sizing chart (for an R34 GT-R), it says "1895 +22 245/40R18" (ie. +22 offset) but notes that "Because it extends from the fender, the case of installing please note sufficiently" To add to the thread, here are some pics I took when I picked up the car from the docks: http://lwells.techadmins.com/skylinegtr-landed/ And some pictures I took last week: http://lwells.techadmins.com/pictures/GT-R...0205/index.html LW.
  10. Well obviously a car that's had 15 years of "average" treatment is not going to be as fresh as a car with only 1-4 years of equivalent treatment. My 89 R32 GT-R is almost stock, but its in very good condition. S15 is sweet, but I wouldn't want to swap LW.
  11. There is a reason I am asking... trying to work out why my wheels sit further out from the guards than I think they should. LW.
  12. That's because its using the Japanese date system, which relates to the year of the Emperors reign (in this case, Heisei). The third box along the top (that reads "(Jap. Character) 2 (Jap. Character) 5" means your car was built in the fifth month (May) of 1990. DOTARS uses the de-reg papers for proof of age, not proof of first registration. LW.
  13. Dude.... SEARCH! There is even a whole sub-forum dedicated to importation http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/fo...isplay.php?f=85 LW.
  14. In the meantime you could use IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) or Picasa2 (http://www.picasa.com/) if you want a small download. Would love to see a high quality version of that shot you posted... LW.
  15. M-O-N-E-Y. (Sorry.. just could not resist ) LW.
  16. Yes, they require dereg papers (or an authorised screenshot from FAST, apparently). LW.
  17. Wonder if it will have HICAS.... The newest Inifiniti (M45) does. LW.
  18. If you have deep pockets, I would grab a set of the Defi DIN gauges. Yum. Edit: Alternatively, I would try and fabricate the Jaycar hand controller in such a way that it fits in a din slot. LW.
  19. GTS-t or GT-R ? What are the rims? LW.
  20. GTST: I am aware of Gary's view on Pipercross filters: in fact I will be putting one in the (stock) airbox of my R32 GT-R very shortly. My point was more that although the Mines R34 may have the "stock airbox", for all we know its been completely changed on the inside. I'm not sure it makes a particularly good point of comparison given all the unknowns surrounding the car. LW.
  21. Does HITMAN have access to a 4WD dyno? LW.
  22. It has the stock airbox, but who knows what in it or if the box is modified? LW.
  23. In particular: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...21&postcount=52 LW.
  24. Richard: I have also heard very good things about HITMAN, both from Skyline owners running PFCs and some other cars running Haltech ECUs. 'Dyno Dave' is also meant to be excellent and comes very well recommended. Edit: I meant to say, I will be interested to see your results LW.
  25. My understanding is that the first "official" break of the agreement is the new Honda Legend. http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/legend/...data/index.html LW.
