  1. $220 is cheaper than I am being quoted: where did you get that price from? Lucien.
  2. Do you have a signed copy of your purchase receipt? Some people are having trouble with the RTA being arses.... Make sure you also take your import approval. LW.
  3. NJ: Get your necked checked out (if you haven't already). I have heard of far too many cases where people have a sore neck, that is then "better" a day or two latter, only to later find they have serious damage to the top of the spine. Sorry to hear about the car LW.
  4. Hi Guys, I tried this in the General Maintenance forum but am not getting many recommendations. Anyway, its time to get the aircon checked out on my car and get it converted if need be, or simply regassed (if already converted). Surely some of you guys most have gone through this process with your imports. Do you have any recommendations for auto sparkies and roughly how much were you charged? At the moment I am being told ~$300 for the conversion, but nowhere I have rung has dealth with Skylines so aren't sure exactly which bits they have to order (so just take a guess at the price I expect). Cheers, Lucien.

This one: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/picture_libra...l_pic_18495.jpg Pretty shoddy copy: look at the huge panel gaps. What a waste of an evo LW.

Looks like the front of the Evo X concept that was released awhile ago. LW.
  7. This may sound really stupid, but I don't know exactly what I am looking for (ie. where do I look ). Someone I know was recently quoted only ~$130 for a conversion on their BMW including new seals/gaskets, hence why I am suprised to be being quoted over double LW.
  8. Hi All, Does anyone have pictures of what an R134a compliant refill point looks like? Trying to work out if my car needs conversion Finally, does anyone have recommendations for places to get the conversion done? So far I am being quoted $250-330, but most places don't have a listing for Skyline's so I think they are just guessing. Cheers, Lucien.
  9. I think she was saying something like: "is that a telephoto lens in you pocket, or are you just happy to see me" LW.
  10. Slightly OT, but does the ARC airbox run the same (sized) filters as the standard airbox, or does it have its own special ARC items? LW.
  11. I have wondered about this myself, but in my case for an R32: what would happen if I grabbed a R32 v-spec ETS-pro controller....? Hopefully someone out there has done it LW.
  12. Last I checked, Toyota/Lexus were using a Deno (http://www.denso.com.au/satnav_main.htm) system with Whereis (http://www.whereis.com.au/whereis/products...d_invehicle.jsp) maps. LW.

Since when has this forum been in to censorship? LW.
  14. That's excellent: I do hope you reconsider given what I said above. I'm sure it will give people more confidence to purchase if they know the product is covered in the environment were it is most likely to be used to its maximum. Lucien.
  15. Bingo. The owner was smart LW.
  16. I have used Quik Clay to remove a lot of bird crap, sap, and sticky tape residue: worked wonders. Highly recommend it. Doesn't have anything nasty (ie. alcohol based) that can eat your paint. LW.
  17. Roger that. I am particulary interested in something around the 25% mark. To those that say even lower is better, do you wear sunnies when driving as well? Merli: nice to see you are back and posting again LW.
  18. Meguiars Quik Clay is very handy. But, you might be sod out of luck. Bat crap is very acidic due to the amount of fruit they eat. Acid + paint = not good. LW.
  19. Stamford Tyres is the official distributor: Stamford Tyres Australia Pty Ltd Smithfield 81 Market St 2164 (02) 9604 0590 LW.
  20. I spoke to Stamford Tyres today, and they are the official distributor for Volk. They also sell Rays products direct to the public. The Rays Duraluminum nuts comes in a short and long form: short is ~$200 and long is ~$250. I am not sure of the exact difference in length, nor which ones are needed LW.
  21. This has been done to death in the maintenance forum.... For the record, my car currently has Royal Purple in it. LW.
  22. Interesting the warranty on the injectors don't cover race/track use. (Not saying they are bad or dodgey, but your hardly going to max them on the street for any length of time). LW.
  23. ... and then reporting back LW.
