  1. Give him a call: I remember one guy in the last group buy had a few bubbles and it was quickly fixed. LW.
  2. I would include a stat dec, not just a letter. LW.
  3. If you look at the years mentioned, those were the pre-Renault, blood red ink days. LW.
  4. Well done son. Better post up some details for us shortly Richard: sorry to hear yours still hasn't arrived. Fingers crossed it will be later today or tomorrow. LW.
  5. I wasn't aware we drove engines, I thought we drove cars. LW.
  6. usuckpoo: You should speak directly to DOTARS as noone else's opinion rates. Having said that, the private import scheme is different to SEVS in that the car doesn't have to comply with the Australian Standards, only a near "equivalent". There is a lot more slack to bring in a modified car. LW.
  7. I'm going to jump into the "stay in school" camp. First off, your spelling and grammar is appalling (Yes, I realise this is an online forum, not a job application ). Seriously, though, I appreciate you may hate school -- a lot of people do -- but it is so important to have basic qualifications these days. Another two years may sound like an eternity to you, but what is 2 years out of a possible 40+ year career? I'm not saying you will, but its possible that in two, five, or 10 years time you will regret your decision and find that other possibilities are not open to you because you didn't finish school. Always try to have as many options open to you as possibile: at least that way you will avoid being rail-roaded. LW.
  8. If the car is 15 years or older, it can have pretty much any structurally-sound modification when it is imported. You may have some issues if the car is highly modified (e.g. huge high mount turbo/s) as it still needs to confirm to the Australian Standards for emissions (both sound and pollution), safety, etc, etc but most things are A-OK. If its younger than 15 years old, it must be dead stock when you apply for compliance. Some workshops will allow you to remove modifications before compliance is completed (though my understanding is this is technically a breach of the regulations). LW.
  9. Hi Mario, Have you had a play with the Nismo plenum? I was reading a thread on GTROC UK (those rich UK boys have all the toys!) where they were comparing various plenums and the conclusion seemed to be the Greddy was rubbish, the JUN was good but designed for big HP (ie. mainly drag) applications, and the Nismo also well designed but aimed more mild configurations. Cheers, Lucien.
  10. Was only a matter of time LW.
  11. You could also consider the Nismo plenum. I can't find the web page, but somewhere they had graphs that showed (if I recall correctly) an improvement in both response and top end. Edit: Here's a little more info: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=25803 LW.
  12. That excellent news (well, except for the missing bits ). Did they say where the car had been dumped? LW.
  13. I believe that in Victoria there is a (government endorsed) rebirthing scheme that allows you to replace a written off car with an "equivalent". As you might imagine, people find Lancer wrecks, import an Evo from Japan, then use the rebirthing system to get it registered. What you are discribing sounds entirely dodgey. Good luck to him if he has an accident and the police find out about the car. LW.
  14. I recently had a dashboard sent from Queensland to NSW via busfreight: only cost $30 (which given the size of the object, was great). Far cheaper than any of ther other freight companies I tried. LW.
  15. Well considering some people have rims worth upwards of $1000 a corner, it might be worth it in small claims court. LW.
  16. Wonder if you can sue whoever is responsible for the particular road for the damage caused to the wheel. Would be interesting.. LW.
  17. You can't be serious? LW.
  18. Fark me Troy, is there anything you can't do? Honestly, that's bloody amazing. So much for "jack of all trade, master of none"
  19. Check your email: a mate of mine as sent you one Lucien.
  20. LOL: don't even joke about it. Makes me feel sick LW.
  21. Richard: but you have such a nice Soarer to drive in the meaintime Seriously, this sh!t is just par for the course: so many people who couldn't care less about your little problem (ie. car). Just keep ringing and harassing. LW.
  22. HICAS also helps turn the wheels at low speeds to improve the turning circle. Its well documented in numerous HICAS threads. LW.
  23. Blitz finally stops being a tight arse biatch. Woot
