Ok, well I generally dislike the new trading system: call me strange, but the standard forum seemed simpler to me. Anyway, a few points: 1) Can we get the default view changed from "Most viewed" to "Most recent" (or some permanent preference somewhere)? I generally want to see the newest stuff (or threads with newest replies) when I go into the classifieds, not the stuff that's been there since day one (and thus has the most views). 2) The quicklinks menu is stuffed -- it all points to the /classifieds directory rather than to /forums 3) It doesn't feel that well integrated. I too had to login to the classifieds section (haven't checked the last few days though). 4) The colour scheme needs some work. There isn't enough contrast: black text on a dark-ish blue is very hard to read. Changing the text to white would help a lot (and be inline with the rest of the forum). 5) The "post a comment" link really needs to be supplemented with a nice big "reply" button IMHO so people know that can actually ask questions in the thread. Anyway, short of bringing back the old system, those are my suggestions so far.

Shan: you could do "devil eyes" (they are angel eyes, but with red leds instead of white". That could look seriously mean (or seriously stupid: angel eyes only suit some cars IMHO) This would of course be illegal too (headlights must be white in Australia) LW.

Depends. Could be a great opportunity to do some major work on the car: eg. completely overhaul of the engine, RB30 conversion, etc etc? A year is an awful long time though. LW.

Well, it sounds like it would only need a few areas touched up, not a back-to-metal, complete car respray, so it could be reasonably affordable. Maybe get the front bar repaired, then get the bar and the spots the paint is flaking touched up at the same time? Unfortunately this is the chance you take with dori'ed cars LW.

I'm confused. What exactly is the problem? Was the car that lime-green all over, and then resprayed? Can you see the green underneath? Could it be that just the fuel filling area is green? LW.

Hey, They cost Y178,000 all up: I bought when the peso was worth about Y80 to the dollar, so about $2200 for 18" TE-37s in black (special order colour), with basically new Bridgestone Potenzas on all four. Bling baby, bling They were actually installed on the car today too. azza_GT-R: if you are doing all the paperwork yourself, you will have to be on the docks for the customs and quarantine attendences. If you are using a customs agent, you should contact them to arrange a viewing. LW.

For NSW people, apparently AAMI has started offering Third Party + Fire + Theft (with a $5000 theft limit ). Might be worth a look for some people who need something better than just third party, but can't afford comprehensive. LW.

I purchased them on Yahoo JP through Shan (aka FunkyMonkey). I then, after much difficulty for various reasons, had them couriered across to where my car is being stored, so the Volks can be installed on the car (for a price), thus saving me the cost of shipping, customs and import duties LW.

Definately interested. What would my mounting options be like in an R32 GT-R, given the sheer size of this unit? LW.

From what I have read, the steam cleaning is also a major chance for stuff to get knocked off, at least in Sydney. The cars sit in an unsecured area, with easy access from the street and basically nobody checking what's happening. I will have a set of wheels loose inside my car. I will have a chat to the guys a CGL a bit closer to the date of the car arriving, and see what can be done (perhaps have them removed upon viewing the car). LW.
