  1. Car tuned for 13 psi. Noticed recently a drop in peak boost to around 12. Settings on the boost controller remain the same. Yesterday heard a rattling sound coming from underneath the car, had a look noticed some sort of sensor near the cat had come out. Screwed it back in, but remains the same. Any ideas what could would cause this? Car runs as normal, idles fine... Its bizarre considering settings have not changed.

  8. Yeah seems to be the launch that determines it, and needs some practice. Either i bog down or light the rears up. Only got it right maybe twice. Feels like abusing the car though and asking for mechanical dramas, so i dont make a habit of practicing...
  9. i taught one of those newish r32 golfs a lesson roll on from about 70km/h to 110+++ km/h up a hill . Mines only making 200rwkw.

  11. Ive got an r32 ecu tuned with NISTUNE. Costs around a grand all up including tuning. Also can be done with a z32 ECU. I dont know much about EMANAGE but im pretty sure there will be a heap off info on this site for both.
  12. Rich and Retard- Use the search function heaps of info. In short if you wish to keep that boost level you will need to either remap the standard ECU or upgrade it.

  16. Apparently it can be put on but its a bit of a pain. They did the same to mine when i had it installed... I had some electrics nearby that became extremely hot and the plastic began to show signs of it melting. Not good. In short i had one made up.
  17. Hmmm its a worry. Not that im complaining the car runs great made just over 200rwkw on a bit over 12psi, and now does it without stutters and surging. In what way were these you mention setup incorrectly? and what were the symptoms of them running poorly? Perhaps when the power increases with the hiflow (i intend on this in 2 or 3 weeks) perhaps the loss of torque would be more significant against a z32. Who knows. Not much consistency to go off.
  18. its true. I ran 11psi on standard ecu. R & R (then the fun starts).... They all seem different.
  19. Ive had both r32 and z32 in my r33 Gtst. The z32 ran like ass. Bugged. Stuttered and carried on. Revs insteady.... Had it replaced with r32. Fixed everything. This loss of vct does what exactly? I had back to back dyno runs and there was no loss of torque anywhere....
  20. Tuner/Workshop in brookvale. Ive been told if could audibly hear ping from inside the car its probably caused serious damage... awesome news.
  21. Failing this last effort ill be going either there or autotech engineering. Its just a long way... Mine is pinging badly, stutters just off idle, when i turn the a/c on shows a fault which looks like a cat converter with heats lines off it, accelerates up the revs unsteadily... lesson learned. Leave it stock.

  23. Hi. Ive had my car repeatedly tuned with Nistune and Z32ecu. Its been a big fail in my book (runs like shit too many bugs) and im having it out replacing with r32 ecu shortly. Over the last week i had suspected more engine ping. Last night it was confirmed. Floored it in 2nd from low revs (say around 2000rpm) got to a bout 4000-4500 and it rattled so loud my girlfriend even heard it. Im surprised it didnt let go there and then... shit box Question is, how could this be if data doesnt change??? ive got a brand new fuel pump, sparks, coilpacks.... What else could cause it other than a shitty tune? Seems to have gotten worse as the weather has gotten cold. But again ive been advised this wouldnt be the case because "cold nights, air is denser, would ping worse in the day...). FMIC STOCK TURBO at 13psi NISTUNE z32 Z32 AFM 3 INCH
