  1. yeah i got one. Went on without any dramas. Quality was pretty good too considering the cost.

  3. ive suspected engine pinging of late. Although its seems intermittent. Sometimes its seems to to struggle under full load 12psi. Symptoms arently exactly an obvious engine miss or stutter. There is definate ping/rattle lower in the revs, intermittently. This was treated during on road tune by retarding timing lower in revs (2900 - 3200).... Going to replace fuel pump ASAP. Ive had conflicting afr readouts from 2 dynos and a wideband on the street. Usually sits around 11.7 (its tuned for this) but has moved into the very lean on a couple of 2 gear full load street runs. Then back to normal on the third run.. frustrating. Its really beginning to bug me as im forced to putter the f**king car around in fear its gonna blow... im unfortunately considering getting rid of it. A shame because its in top condition and i enjoy driving it. Is there something really obvious im missing and should replace whilst i do the fuel pump? ive been in a r33 will failing coil packs it doesnt seems to be similar to that at all. Ill be doing the remap again straight after so id like to attempt to rectify this. 200 ATW is all im after id just prefer some reliability... r33 gtst s2 3 inch exhaust K&N Panel EBC on 12psi ECU Remapped. 200kw atw

So in saying that, if i was to hiflow my standard (same car) turbo but continue to run the same boost 12psi, id realistically need another remap again? ive had it remapped already to run 12psi on stock turbo. Goes really well. Ill be getting this done very shortly out of fear the stocker will blow out and course me grief... i figure for a grand or so its better than the possibility of a rooted motor entirely...

  6. Hey, been running 12psi on the stock turbo for a couple of months. Whenever the turbo eventually lets go (it shows no signs as yet at all, and i dont run iT on 12 permanently or load it up very often..) is this something that goes bang suddenly or do they generally show signs earlier on. I hear when they go, it can cause major engine failure due to ingestion of turbo parts?? Im not fussed about the cost of a highflow upgrade, im pretty keen to have it done actually, but not so keen on a 5k plus rebuild... r33 gts25t series 2 ECU Remapped by Toshi Full Exhaust and Hiflow k7Panel R34 SMIC 200rwkW
  7. good to hear it seems normal. I dont really let it warm up by idling the car for extended periods. I just dont rev it or accelerate hard until its at normal temp...
  8. Hey im assuming this is fairly normal granted its been pretty cold?? Drips a bit of water too. It all stops once its warm? Just dont remember my old clubsport doing it quite as much...
  9. i got 200rwkw with an r34smic on a r33. Does the job... just. Easy to install. FMIC are better but ive yet to do it due to cutting bars etc etc.
  10. i got 198.9 Kw ATW(r33 S2) r34 SMIC Stock Turbo Remapped ECU by Toshi 3 inch enhaust with split front/dump pipe 12psi Running very rich probably could squeeze more
  11. mine does it too. r33 gtst series 2 And im f**ked if i know why. I just assumed the clutch is on the way out. Its a standard clutch. anyone?
  12. Ive got a new Turbosmart Street EBC. Story goes the unit shat itself and was replaced. However the standard system seemed to still work as the tech switched off the EBC, whilst waiting for the new unit to arrive, and it was running as it did on the stock setup (ie 5psi - 4500rpm then 7psi after etc). So im assuming the stock setup remains regardless of EBC?

I searched it didnt answer the question (perhaps i didnt search specifically as you have recommended, sorry mate my bad the crystal ball is out of order, return flow? means shit to me i wouldnt even know to attempt it) thus i wouldnt bother asking. Make sense? Regardless is it some major hardship to ignore the thread if its uninteresting. Whose balls am i breaking exactly? Some arent here to out do each other with technical prowess. How much hasnt been covered already on maybe half a dozen cars? ....
  16. Hi, Ive finally decided FMIC is the only way.. Much to my disappointment. Is it true the above can be installed without hacking reinforcement? ill sacrifice the front bumper is necessary (ie replace if need be)... Reason is, it is imperative the car can be returned to factory spec without evidence of a hack job. Any others to speak of ? What about the stealth kits from JustJap? Anyone who genuinely knows its much appreciated, id hate to go buy one and be informed its necessary to perform the above. As it simply wont happen... Cheers in advance. Matt

  19. Lads, Had my ECU remapped my Toshi today. Easily the best $500 bucks ive spent in a long long time. Its a rare event for me when i drive away from something genuinely thinking i got my moneys worth. This time its without question. Toshi spent much of his sunday tuning my car until i was happy, explained every part of the process clearly and kept me completely involved. The car is absolutely flying and i couldnt be happier. His focused attitude and attention to detail was second to none, this was very apparent especially after dealing with peanut after peanut mechanic (and twice the cash) who obviously had no idea. Id strongly recommend his services to anyone. He clearly knows his stuff, and takes the time to do it properly. Pretty bloody rare (and valuable) in my book. Ill take the car nowhere else. Thanks again Toshi, we will speak soon about the intercooler etc. Cheers, Matt

  21. As he is street tuning i guess he would be able to see its leaning out and therefore diagnose (to reasonable a degree) the pump is struggling? I guess the down side is ill have to do the tuning all again if im forced to upgrade pump? (no chance of having it done before tune on sunday)... fingers crossed. already pulled 202 ATW at a bit over 12psi. 185 at 9. But the dyno graph on 12psi looked rubbish. Wobbly and a big dip up high in the revs. But was running down to 10.5 AFR at high revs. Id dont claim to understand much of this although im learning....
  22. Is it good for 200Kw ATW? Im getting the standard ECU remapped this weekend with the stock fuel pump.... it will be running whatever is fairly safe. Probably 10-11 psi. Stock Turbo.
  23. Had a search but no good. Sorry for the boring post but im need to find the ECU number? Where is the ECU? Apparently it has a number etc like this MEC-R7... or MEC-R6.... I cant find it!!!
